@Paratus7 lm nor a billionaire but then again I didn't inherit a mega amount of money.my wealth is mainly the family that I have that hopefully value me for the person I am and not because my only goal in life is to enrich myself at the expense of others.

Ai could make the lives of the vast majority much better by allowing people to effectively job share but at the same time receiving a u iversal wage.more likely it will mean that the vast majority will be unemployed receiving a pittance on benifits while the billionaires take an increasing larger slice of the economic cake.we cannot sleep walk into the second option by voting for right wing goverments doing the bidding of the mega rich.

He may be looking forward to getting a Glasgow kiss.
11
To be fair, she did an excellent job stocktaking the paper clips.
9
@Tensquaremetreworkshop so looking after all it's population instead of pandering to the wishes of the mega rich is not desirable.l assume you are a typical tory know the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
9
That's why taxing the mega rich is the way to go.the wealth of the uk billionaires has increased by 300% during the period of tory misrule rule.they are the people most able to shoulder the extra tax and that Loss of wealth will have zero effect on their life style and will allow the country to make the investments so badly needed for rebuilding our frastucture which will benifit everyone in our country.

The orange one sent by god,he can't possibly be lying could he?
8
If reeves really wants the economy to grow she needs to repair the infrastructure.lgnoring the financial plights of local goverment will be a disaster.she is more likely to go along the route of austerity.lf only we had an increasing numbers of billionaires to tax.?we can't possibly do that they might have to sell a yacht or one of their mansions.
8
Isreally state.?
7
By the way they voted.?
7
Not to mention used the money to reduce the cost of bus fares to encourage people to use the bus.lnstead she has done the opposite at a time where roads are becoming more and more congested.
7
I voted for green in my constituency despite I new that green had no chance of getting in.lm fed up of voting for a party that does not represent my views and at best is the worse of two evils.at least with pr my vote will be valued and I think more people will vote for that reason as long as the system chosen is deliberetely made too complicated ads happen with slimey Camerons what must have been piss take of the naive lib dems aspirations.
7
Didn't like the orange jumpsuit they had ready for him, clashed with his face.
7
Reeves speech was similiar to lardy boris when he had been kicked out.he said he could see a bright future ahead.what he didn't say was that bright future was only for him.
7
I think people hoped for the best and feared for the worse.
6
In the film the omen the Damien the anti christ became a very powerful us politician.the only thing they got wrong was his name.

If you want priority given to potholes or anywhere thing being done in your area ask for a visit from a royal.all of a sudden it will be fixed.

Labour has adopted the tories fiscal rules which have been so sucessful over the las14 years.this is because they they are frightened to death of upsetting the tory media and people like rachel reeves has been brain washed by the bankers she has worked with.have no lessons been learned by the financialt crash. We do not want to encourage the bankers to gamble with our financial system that caused the crash.l believe that she may be considering using pfi mark2 to finance some of her pet projects, this has been a massive financial burden for the nhs and should be avoided at all costs.perhaps the people who have benefited over the last 14 years and can most afford it should be asked to coff up more but torylabour have decided not to take that blidenly obvious path to rebuilding our broken infrastructure.
6
The tory media are quite rightly criticising reeves ni tax on jobs but what they do not say(because it's against their owners interests)is the alternative is to tax the mega rich and the fossil fuels excessive profits.this does not have to be particularly excessive but should be seen as a type of fine for the damage they are doing to the planet.this money will mean no increase in the level of borrowing and could be used for day to day spending which will mean none of the distarous austerity cuts. D
6
Tax the 1%.
6
@charliemoore2551 the agency staff are being paid better than the more experienced people they are covering for usually plus the agency's fees of 20% plus.this was supposed to be as a one off situation for unforseen circumstances but is now as a matter of course and costing the nhs a fortune. Not to mention those agency staff were originally trained by the nhs.now wes streeting is going to encourage the practise by his let's use the private sector which would be OK in the short term but that is unlikely to be the case.l wonder why private healthcare providers seem so willing to donate to streeting?.only asking the question that needs to be asked.
6
@RobinHarris-nf4yv we may have achieved 5 years of tories already otherwise known as starmers labour.
5
I couldn't watch it because I would have quickly run out of sick bags because of the amount of r slicking going on.
5
If only we had a whole load of billionaires (more than ever and rising by the day)to tax to allow the investment dearly needed.because all these mega rich are telling us that everyone of them is going g to leave and they are totally right because they wouldn't lie about that.
5
Typho l meant to say make the lot of the majority more bearable.most people do not care that so e are immensely rich as long as they have enough for their own needs.greed is putting that at risk.
5
The gammons will also pay the price.
5
Give a billion in tax back to the billionaires and you have little control over how it is spent.give that same billion to the 90% you know it will be spent largely within our economy.reeves hasn't received the memo yet.
5
She can't borrow under her rules.that leaves the options of reducing spending austerity mark2.that worked out so well last time.or she can do my favourite of taxiing the people who have been least effected by austerity and can actually afford to shoulder the burden, the mega rich.you never know with the infrastructure working, people returning to work from being ill, maybe the economy will start to grow and every one will benifit.
5
America did the same and thrived.?who thrived it was the billionaires.once again the greedy caused a major problem and the poor paid the price for the greed of the rich.lf by some miracle reeves actually achieves growth in the UK it will all go to the benifit of the mega rich.we really need pr in this country but the politicians of the main parties do not want it so short of a revolution things will stay as they are.the billionaire graph is likely to continue on an upward trend while the rest of us go the other way and are told we're only jealous and should work even harder and we should be grateful for the pittance that we are paid.
5
Tory.
5
@manoo422 says the worshipper of the God of greed.?
5
That is not to say that I don't think that thousands have died in prison or that the war should stop as soon as possible but I think it would be a disgrace to all those who lost their lives to have a solution imposed by Trump that gives putin everything that he wants.lt will just postpone putins ambitions until he has rebuilt his army. I
5
As a pensioner on low income with the tax allowance being frozen year after year you will be paying tax even on a very modest income.reeves had the option of increasing the tax allowance to stop the very poorest paying tax but has decided not to tax the mega rich.when will we get an actual labour party in power and not a leadership who has surrounded itself with think tanks and bankers for their advice.
5
The pain of net growth?.lf we invested in renewable and insulation of our houes it would cut down demand for fossil fuels and increas the output of cheaper solar, wind and wave power that is much cheaper and not subject to the whims of such events as war and the greed.the country's proportion of renewable energy is already higher than expected but imagine how much better if the tories had not effectively banned on shore wind.lf they had invested in renewalables and not left it in the hand of the markets we would have been much nearer our climate targets and who knows maybe market leaders.and don't give me the Trump and lardy arses excuse of what happens when it's not sunny or windy.we could have invested in wave power (you know the waves that are always operating)and that investment never happened because of the short term view of if we can't make an immediate profit then it's not going to happen.thats exactly why you need goverment investment.even the victorians realised that you sometimes needed goverment investment and had public infrastructure projects such as the London underground. Y
4
It's not just children and grandchildren that will suffer.you just need to what happened in la to see that no one is immune from climate change and the billionaires are running out of safe places to live.
4
The 90% would really like to pay more tax especially as the improvement in the infrastructure would improve their lives so much.because the 1% are sucking the wealth out of the economy into their off shore tax havens the opportunity to be able to earn more resulting in paying more tax is limited.people should realise that the redistribution of wealth to the mega rich is Robin hood in reverse.its no surprise that productivety is so low because the majority have no incentive to work harder because all the benifits go to the billionaires. T Y
4
Robin hood in reverse.
4
Uk only left the eu because putin wanted us to.and Nigel did his best to please his master.
4
@williamholden9705 you then voted tory, just a more right wing version who call themselves reform so they sound different.
4
Your I'm alright and head in the sand attitude is the reason we are in this mess..
4
Hail to the orange one ,the orange one can do no wrong.
4
You say stop foreign aid but the money should be used to help poorer countries and keep them stable.the cutting of foreign aid will more likely lead to more asylum seekers which I assume you are also against.
4
A previous manager of mine said don't work harder work smarter.this is a lesson the uk should take heed of.the work culture of management seems to always trying to get extra unpaid hours of work out of it's workforce rather than planning for more effective use of its time.as well as that it makes no sense to force people to spend hours commuting when sometimes people could spend some time,e working from home.obviously this is not always ideal but a bit of flexibility could solve a lot of the self inflicted problems we have.we need today's solutions and not br living in the past.who knows it might improve productivity and profits and even tories can appreciate that.
4
More like destroy the world then escape with his mates in the elonmobile rocket machine probably propelled by lots of hot air?
4
Hell was beginning to struggle chump has saved it for him and all his supporters.
4
These people are inciting to extreme violence against people.pperhaps if they thought they might get prison those that rioted might have thought twice about it.we are sending organisers of peaceful demonstrations to prison for 5 years and yet those advocating murder etc should have no consequences.
4
Starmer doesn't under economics and depends upon reeves to understand ecomics for him.unfortunately, despite whatever education she has had she also hasn't the faintest idea and depends on her tory bankers friends to advise her.that did not work out well in 2008.
4
All their candidates must change their names to Richard sole first name shortened to r.
4
In the 70s when people talked about transfer of wealth it would be assumed it was from the rich to the poor.thanks to the greed of thatcher and began it means absolutely the opposite.the fictional trickle down has become the very real trickle up.
