  1. ​ @physiocrat7143 the number of billionaires has at the very least doubled in the 14 years and their wealth has increased by 300% whilst the bottom 90% has remained stagnant.some sort of % tax on people's income over 10 million pa shouldn't be that difficult to impose and don't bother replying with the tory media crap that the poor people would all leave on mass because while some will,the majority know when they are onto a good thing.some of those countries where they might have gone are not looking too stable at the moment are they.?

The problem is that the tories and now labour are taking the wrong people.they should be taxing earned income less to encourage people to believe that working hard is worth it and at the same time taxing unearned in one more to allow that money to be used to invest in our infrastructure.the employers ni tax increase was an example of the wrong tax because it will be such an disincentive to take on new workers.the tories wasted billions on the ni give away which was a scorched earth policy to mess up labour and labour should have had the strength to reverse it and use some of it to increase the basic tax allowance which is effecting the income of so many poorer workers.

The nhs is awash with the private sector.record amounts of money may have been put into the nhs however 20% plus goes straight out to private sector profits.add to this the existence of dodgy procurement contracts is causing a flood of money out of the nhs.this is what streeting should be sorting out and not encouraging private sub contractting at extreme cost to the nhs.lf he did this then perhaps he could afford to pay the nurses and doctors more which will retain and recruit more into the nhs.the solution is definitely not offering more overtime to an already exhausted workforce.

My plan would be to treat the nhs like the tories low taxation areas.that means that those nhs employers on the nhs have special lower tax rates.lt effectively gives an unique advantage to those employees which would be easy to implement,encourage recruitment,reduce losing employees to the private sector and mean that the nurses 5% pay increase would have given them that nett.doctors who do private work would pay tax but less on their nhs proportion.obviously the details would have to be worked out by people far more intelligent than me.
