@ΑΣΔΦΓΗΞΚΛ yes he talks an awful lot of sense.none of that trickle down crap.

@simonfernandes6809 maybe do it by taxing those who have done so well over the last 14 years.the wealth of billionaires have increased by 300%,but productivity has stayed unchanged.obviously giving the mega rich more of the share of wealth hasn't improved the country's prospects but rather the exact opposite.so given the money for improving our infrastructure has to come from somewhere but labour have ruled out the most obvious one. @RichardBergson Liz truss plan was to borrow billions to give billions to very weathly people.she was asking a market who were already owed massive sums of money to increase that risk with a plan that could not guarantee that the money owed would ever be repayed.a bit like going to a bank for a loan and saying some bloke had given you a dead cert tip on a three legged horse at Epson.

Did reeves borrow Liz truss old economics books alongside gearge osbournes dodgy austerity spreadsheet.l wonder if her mates at the b of England are advising her on allowing the banking sector free range to do what it wants because that went so well last time.

Just because you have an economist does not mean you have an solution to our economic problems because obviously many different economists have different views on the solutions needed.what is probably helpful is when you have the views of those that are not biased(paid for )sprinkled with commonsense and definetely not yes men or women. You are talking about the same daily hate mail that were big fans of Liz truss.dont forget what is made up in the hate mail should stay in the hate mail.

@adenwellsmith6908 can't be anything to do with the fact that the country has been run by a corrupt incompetent tory goverment for 14 years finished with the village idiot, lardy boris, mad as a hatter truss and finally how much can I fill my boots soonackered.

Taxing cigarettes does not on its own stop people smoking because smoking is an addiction and generally addicts pay whatever it takes unless given other help.

@mart34 don't forget the reasons why the public sector pensions are better than the private sector is because the unions have been allow to function better there.private sector have been particularly keen on union bashing, but the unions have fought for those better conditions including pensions.lf left to the tories we would all be living in victorian working conditions which is exactly the tory types want to return us to now.

Wes streeting the millwall supporter.no one likes him he don't care.

Adopting a policy can often have unintended consequences(some are deliberate)therefore they need to be well thought out.l am definetely not a fan of reeves and starmer but realise that many are fooled by the likes of farage who sit on the outside giving simplistic and dishonest solutions to problems that are far from simple.
1
Labour has quite rightly given greater than the cost of living to essential workers.even so the true effect of these rises are not as great as you would assume because as the basic tax allowances have been frozen by the tories( and potentially by the tory tribute act)at least 20% of those rises are going straight back to the coffers because of fiscal drag.

Dont the daily hate mail have that wonderful writer hans Christian johnson book fifty ways i screwed the country being serialised.

@grolfe3210 tax those with the broadest shoulders the mega rich,

@aficio698 the tories and farage will be very happy that they have been able to con you into the solution that they crave for.destroy the nhs by incompetence, deprivation of recourses increase costs by privatising it through the back door.then having smashed it to pieces replace it with a private insurance medical system that only the mega rich can afford.ln the USA 87 million people cannot afford private insurance so tough look they have to fend for themselves.on question time from USA a woman was saying her and her husband was paying 1800 dollars per month for medical care with a big chance it was going to rise.maybe you are a multi millionaire but if not be careful what you wish for,
