Im a pensioner who is OK off but definitely not minted.l would happily give up my winter allowance if it funds nhs staff wages but totally against it if it's just to allow future tax cuts for the mega rich.rachel reeves should be funding oue services by taxing those who an afford it and make those company's making windfall tax them to a normal profit levels something the tories failed to do.some of that money could be used to support local councils who are suffering financial hardship often through no fault of their own.failure to so will have much worse long term effects and will make growth in the economy less likely.
