Always been a fan of mick lynch and people like him .people forget that the unions and the union membership have fought hard for the working conditions (including pensions) that people now take for granted.these conditions have be😂en eroded over the years thanks to thatcher and her cronies but the unions should not be treated as the enemy as they have often been the only thing that has stopped the ever march too poverty for millions.

Those train drivers that you hate so much are the people that keep thousands of people safe on their journeys to work etc.l beleive that their pay is around 65k pa now I could be wrong.that pay reflects the responsibily of the job and is not massive compared to the salaries of say the bankers who have no such responsibility.also because of the freezing of tax allowances at least 40% of that increase will be lost in extra taxation.l am not a train driver so I have no vested interest other than seeing our transport system working properly.

If reeves is not going to implement austerity what is she going to do about the plight of councils up and down the country(labour and tory alike)many are on the brink of collaspe and something has to be done now.who ever has been at fault if no action is taken the cost to the economy will be far greater further down the line and any hopes of growing the economy will be lost.l really hope she will deal with this in her budget but im not expecting tjhat anything of substance will be done.

It will only take one pensioner to die because of the lack of winter fuel payment and the right wing media(quite rightly in this case)will make sure that labour will never hear the end of it despite the fact that the tories dont care about the poor young or old.ln 1979 we had the winter of discontent that the tories banged on about endlessly,but over the last couple of years not a word when tory imcompetence and failure to even try to negioate resulted in much greater problems.starmers and reeves naivety and blind adherance to tory policy could be something labour regret for a long time.
