  5. The earmuffs prevent obnoxious wind noise. Because the microphones are in his ears SO YOU GET GOOD AUDIO. Also your standards for masculinity are very weird.

  6. The mics just blow out and peak. Same reason reporters use dead cats and foam on their mics outside. I sincerely hope you never handle audio on anyone’s production.

  7. Most automotive YouTubers don’t use microphones in their ears. This is binaural audio. You can’t use ear muffs on a lav mic or a shotgun mic but they do use dead cats and foam. This is an extremely easy concept to grasp so I’m just going to leave it at that.
