  2. The mics just blow out and peak. Same reason reporters use dead cats and foam on their mics outside. I sincerely hope you never handle audio on anyone’s production.

  3. Most automotive YouTubers don’t use microphones in their ears. This is binaural audio. You can’t use ear muffs on a lav mic or a shotgun mic but they do use dead cats and foam. This is an extremely easy concept to grasp so I’m just going to leave it at that.
