To see my Aircooled 911 POV follow this Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJA6yK466Bk . The 600LT is coming soon! As for the Targa, it has its pro's and cons. It delivers very strongly as a daily driver or weekend warrior GT car. The quality and comfort are exactly what you'd expect from a 911 of this caliber. The Manual gearbox is a bit of a love/hate relationship. I love that I'm able to row my own gears, but the non GT stick is certainly no race car. Patience is required between shifts and the flywheel feels heavy. Most would be happier with a PDK that allows the engine to stay in boost between shifts and get the most out of the powertrain. The 4 wheel steering is incredible and as noticed in my U-Turn in the video, it can pivot on a dime. Lot's to love about this car, but if you're expecting a Targa GT3, you're looking in the wrong place.

@VasyaIvanovichPupkin Certainly not bashing it. I think its important to set expectations so that people know that the gearbox that comes in the GT models does not feel the same as what comes in these cars. If the expectation of the manual gearbox is fast aggressive shifts, this one will not satisfy the itch. Patience is needed with the 7 speed.

This is not a GT3. The Non- GT cars have fairly heavy flywheels and do not like to shift fast, especially from First to Second gear. Could it shift faster? yes. But it would be abusive to the car, and we are not in the business of destruction.

I have not driven it yet, but with the base Carrera engine I would imagine its a nicer drive with a stick than the S and GTS models.

Yes and Yes. Porsche uses a 7 speed Manual for non-GT 911 models.

Not hard to find, but if you go too quickly its quite a shock to the driveline. The flywheel feels pretty heavy. It will take it, but it doesn't feel like a friendly thing to do to this machine.
