  2. the e has a 2.7l engine which is a longer stroke than the 2.5 found in the i. It has fewer cam bearings and single valve springs instead of dual in order to improve efficiency by reducing friction

  4. Not sure if that is the case... It has more torque than the "i" and likely a similar if not identical bottom end (a BMW mechanic can enlighten me here). I'm there's trade offs that balance out
