They wouldn't decompose if they mummify under the right conditions. You'd have to open up their coffins to see which ones are just bones and which still have mummified fleshy bits.

@candie1230 everything you said was wrong. How could James VI & I have been King of the United Kingdom when he died in 1625 but the UK was founded in 1801?

No, the British and English monarchies are different. And British people are born in more places than just England, Scotland and Wales. North Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, the Falklands.

@noahbuck7550 it's the history of England's monarchy followed by the new British monarchy that replaced it upon Elizabeth I's death in 1603. The Scottish monarchy is a separate monarchy until it becomes the British monarchy in 1603
