  2. It wouldn't be 23 years. At 80% of lightspeed only 15 years would pass due to time dilation. At 99.9% of the speedlight only 1.5 years would pass for the space ship and the people in it.

  11. Why do you assume 5 times more mass means 5 times more surface gravity? The mass of Mars is double the mass of Mercury yet both planets have the same surface gravity. A planet with 5 times the mass of Earth, would have the same surface gravity if it had the perfect diameter.

  16. ​ @slayer8actual you threw out a lot there, but I'll just say two things: while light speed is impossible, travelling at 99.999999999999999% of lightspeed is perfectly acceptable by our current understanding of the physics. And second, time travel isn't impossible, changing time is.
