But the odds of it happening are high. It's like winning the lottery. The odds of YOU being the one to win are low. Very low. But the odds of someone, anyone winning it are higher. So high that there's a winner almost every week. It's the same for life on planets.

It wouldn't be 23 years. At 80% of lightspeed only 15 years would pass due to time dilation. At 99.9% of the speedlight only 1.5 years would pass for the space ship and the people in it.

@nicoleackerman205 red dwarfs make up almost two-thirds of the stars in our galaxy.
1
Suns like our own mostly have gas giants in close orbit with no rocky planets to be found.

If you could reach a speed of 99.9% light speed you'd get there and only 1.5 years will have passed for you. 23 years would passed on Earth though.
1
What would have happened to it in a mere 23 years?

We have a cure for poverty - the freedom and capitalism. If only the world would embrace them

@djkenardo9671 it's not stupid. Humans evolved in Africa, and still live there, so by your logic it's stupid for me to say Europe is more habitable than Africa.
1
It would take 1.5 years to get there if you were at 99.9% of light speed. Time slows down the faster you go.

That's here. All birds are dinosaurs.

Why do you assume 5 times more mass means 5 times more surface gravity? The mass of Mars is double the mass of Mercury yet both planets have the same surface gravity. A planet with 5 times the mass of Earth, would have the same surface gravity if it had the perfect diameter.
1
No, you're correct

A rocky planet can't get that large. 10x bigger than the Earth is as big as a rocky planet can get. After that it becomes a gas giant

Nah, the odds of it are pretty high. It's like winning the lottery. The odds of YOU winning the lottery are very low, but the odds of someone, anyone, winning it are so high that a person wins almost every week. The odds of any random planet being perfect is high cos there are so many

How would it be gone?
1
@slayer8actual you threw out a lot there, but I'll just say two things: while light speed is impossible, travelling at 99.999999999999999% of lightspeed is perfectly acceptable by our current understanding of the physics. And second, time travel isn't impossible, changing time is.

An identical planet would be
