For months the UK government was trying convince Germany to come along on tanks and announce the gifting of them on the same day. But Germany was so scared of the granddad in the Kremlin that the Brits gave up and promised tanks alone. And even though the UK wasn't instantly nuked by Grandpa Putin Germany was still too scared to give tanks. "Only if Grandpa Biden holds our hand really tightly and gives Ice cream after... Then we might give some tanks."
