@szililolabu Germany joined the euro and now it has to bail out poor countries like Greece with taxpayer money.

King Nigel, we love you!
5
If you're British nominate him. You can find the nomination form online through a quick Google search. The more of us who nominate him, the more chance there is.

She interrupted to enforce the rules. Do you complain about referees stoping play to enforce rules?
5
Fender King she's called vice-president. Deputy speaker and such titles aren't grand enough for the EU, so it has 5 presidents and 14 vice-presidents to share out the grand titles. They're almost as bad as the House of Lords.

@raphaelforkel7759 I'm sure nothing would happen if the SNP waved tiny little flags in the Commons.

Isolating is impossible. No-one can truly stay away from others. The best you can do is keep social distancing while allowing normal life to continue. You know, like Sweden.
3
@joannewyatt5681 they aren't stopping the virus, they're slowing it down while destroying the economy as the price. The Swedish way is best. use social distancing to slow it down but let the economy grow so people actually have a future. The science advisors are telling the UK government we need to stay under varying degrees of lockdown for 18 months. 18 months. How is Britain going to survive that? Even 6 years of WW2 didn't lockdown our economy. We're throwing away so, so much.

More than that! It took him 21 years inside that place to finally win the war.

I don't think Nigel has realised yet that he has made himself immortal. This is big enough constitutional change to be remembered for as long as there's still an England or UK. Historians will be discussing and debating Nigel Farage 300 years from now in the same way they discuss things like Thomas Cromwell, Oliver Cromwell, the Glorious Revolution, those moments of huge constitutional change.
3
@LettyK please, there was little fear in 1939-45. What there was was a determination to beat the enemy and a quiet stoicism. You don't win a war by hiding away in fear. Even Churchill my ever hid. During the blitz he stood outside and watched the bombs fall.
2
He wants a knighthood, but would refuse a peerage, he's said so in the past.
2
@thedave7760 technically Boris IS on his second term. The first only lasted 4 months, but it was still a term.
2
Maybe they should look at Sweden and think "they're refusing to give up their freedoms but are better off than we are, why has our freedom really been taken?"
2
@royblackburn1163 there will never be a cure. Cures are almost impossible to create. They're trying to make a vaccine. A vaccine you need to get topped up every single year. The government is destroying the economy, but at least the medical companies will get rich on everyone's annual Covid19 vaccine. Amirite?
2
Everyone who wants that should nominate him. Any UK citizen can nominate any other UK citizen for an honour. the more of us who nominate him the more chance there is Boris will give Nigel a knighthood

You can hear it on their app. There's no point streaming it on YouTube because they don't have video available since Nige is doing the show at home.

@justinmillette9110 it's a better comparison if you're talking about loss of freedom. No-one lost rights due to flu in 1918. Just the opposite. David Lloyd George's Liberal party increased the franchise to include all men and some women. It actually gave people more power for a change.
1
@lynncw9202 from the British point of view there's something very sinister about an individual being forced - forced - by the state to carry paperwork (ID cards) which must be shown on demand when commanded by agents of that state. That means one of our most ancient rights is lost. If we have explain who we are and what we're doing whenever agents of the state demand, we're no longer a free people.
1
@greenhardroc they agreed to the rules. Debates always have tense negotiations going on between the parties involved, and the debates only go ahead once they've all agreed to the rules. In other words, you can't change the rules after the match has started.

You saw all the evidence before the police did?

I'd say it was good if she'd been an adult when she left. But she wasn't. She's a school girl who was groomed and sexually abused by Islamic extremists.

It's on the LBC app

@Mortimus1000 This. We have hundreds of small uninhabited islands surrounding Great Britain. We should some into detention centres and give out life time bans if you enter the UK illegally
1
@drrd4127 technically Great Britain is made up of 3 countries - England, Scotland, Wales and the UK is made up of 2 - Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Britain as opposed to Great Britain is a synonym for the UK.
