  1. As a scientist, you should know that "Science" is an ongoing process and a "paradigm" consists of a framework containing all the commonly accepted views about a subject -- conclusions based on current interpretations of date -- subject to revision and modification. Paradigms are not set in stone via an ossification-inducing "status quo" wherein "opposing research is largely ignored, and careers are often (yes, often) destroyed." Is it possible that your statement is hyperbolic, over-simplistic, incomplete & inaccurate? As a scientist, I have sworn Eternal Hostility against all Opposing Research!!!!!!! It's so sad that new discoveries are forbidden by Archaeologists. It's a darn shame that if anyone finds any evidence whatsoever of anything that would threaten Our Most Precious Dogma they will be Ostracized!! Just like the dudes who found Gobekli Tepe! All those careers ruined! Destroyed! When I find Atlantis, I will not tell anybody. I will hide it and cover it up!!!!!!!! I weep for the victims of the Sinister Cabal of Academic Orthodoxy!!!!!!!! You "remember scientists (leading scientists) stating plainly that the only planets are the ones in our solar system." Which scientists? When & where did they state this? In a Christian Ministries lecture on Medieval Cosmology? No reputable modern scientist would categorically assert that exoplanets do not exist. Are those the same scientists that -- according to the Hancockian Ministry of Misinformation -- state: "Scientists know everything there is to be known about human history. There are absolutely no lost chapters to be found. The record of humanity's past is 100% complete." lmao Cosmic pluralism dates back to the Ancient Greeks. Anaxagoras told Alexander the Great that there were an infinite number of worlds. "During the Scientific Revolution and the later Enlightenment, cosmic pluralism became a mainstream possibility." Even Reverend Thomas Dick (1830s) believed that there were 2.4 billion inhabited planets in the cosmos! And Jor-El sent his son to Earth from the planet Krypton in the 1930s. The Drake Equation was proposed in 1961. Carl Sagan spent the 1970s talking about extraterrestrial civilizations on other planets. But you heard leading scientists say that exoplanets did not exist?
