How many people watched this poor dog deteriorate daily? THANK YOU to whoever finally had mercy..... π

She adopted him, See her Instagram :-)

Hello dear, I hope you will go all the way and extend that compassion to those animals who are raised as food for humans. Animals are friends, not food! π
37
Many people must have noticed this dog and nobody cared enough to help him. It took months to get to this point! π
29
Probably same people who don't feed their dogs....

Ditto. π

I found that adopting a new dog refreshed happy memories of the one I had lost. It's a win-win :-). Good luck <3.

Love all those memorable, joyous moments but that unexpected piggy sprint along with the little one takes the cake. π

Thanks for helping this poor dog. <3 /\ To the Dodo folks: I wish you had kept the 3 minute format that was so much more informative and captivating! I only watch occasioally now, having switched to other channels.

What I don't get: it took months for the dog to get that emaciated and yet nobody stepped in? ;,-(

She adopted him!

She rejected him after giving birth. She was very young.

Best Thanksgiving message I have read today :-).

Crying again! (at 73). I thought that wouldn't happen this time :-)

Great to see Drream's recovery. The sanctuary where I volunteer took in a horse recently that is as emaciated as Dream used to be. She is recovering and I can't wait for her to look as wonderful as Dream does now. :-)

40+ and cats and horses, donkeys, alpaca........

Watching this for the 3rd time since it first came out --- and crying again! Happy tears :-)

I watched 2 episodes where he did find new homes for his fosters. One was very tough for him to give up.

She reminds me of my dog Lizzie, whom we adopted at 2 yrs old. She had been rescued by someone on the day she was scheduled to be put down. She lived to be 16 :-).

Β @escondidonative2903Β It was the vet herself - and her young daughter. A win for the dog, either way :-)

Β @phoenixflamegames1Β The common denominator in your example is CAPTIVITY. In either case, it causes Unnecessary SUFFERING. Most people have empathy for the caged exotic animal, but not for the common animal (whose fate ironically is to feed maybe that same person.) TLDR: different purpose, same suffering. Both unnecessary.
1
Β @phoenixflamegames1Β I think that correcting the fate of animals not fit for release will take a long time -- beginning with not allowing the research practice. (PCRM works towards that goal.) Sanctuaries will be rare and have low funding. Reducing the # of aminals bred for consumption is a matter of mindset, not feasibility. They are not necessary for human survival, and consume food&water that is fit for human consumption while, since they are heavily medicated, make our food more toxic. No one gains except the food industry. It will take time, but discussing the problem in a friendly manner is the first step :-). I think overall we are on the same page. Greetings :-)
