I feel like you have trapped yourself in a bubble that is restricting you from experiencing things that can give you hope and purpose. I don't want to expand on this because it would sound like criticism - that is sadly the downside of this form of communication. I have reached an age where I look back more often than I used to, and I see a lot of missed opportunities that I was not aware of when I was younger and busy just living my life. For you, I see many opportunities to engage in helping the environment, the animals, birds, insects.... You studied biology, so that is a place where you have a strong connection - your forest explorations are a testament to that, obviously. Nature needs your help. There are volunteer groups that work in those areas. You would meet like-minded people. You and your wife could work together..... Sending love from Tiger Mountain <3

  3. That would be a family decision IMO. It's his wife's brother, after all, she has a say in the matter. Families are strange creatures, sadly. But I too hope for a reconciliation.
