  1. WARNING: I watch many cooking shows and usually there is a warning, not to blend hot ingredients unless you have a high speed blender (Vitamix or Blendtec). Typicall;y they suggest to pour small amounts into the regular type blender to give the hot soup room to expand. If you fill the container too much, it may explode, blow the lid and cover you in hot liquid.
