Thank you Sabine. With your content it indeed seems hard to stay even realistically optimistic with hydrogen🙈

Hey Sabine, you missed to mention the most important point, why paper money given out by a king or state is widely accepted, only because the king or state is demanding taxes in this "own" currency. That is why it works, not because everyone agrees upon accepting the money or trusting or someone backing up for it. And issuing the currency by the state spending money or by a private bank first creates the money before it can be payed back as taxes. If in some poor countries the own currency is not interesting to other countries they are kind of forced to use e. g. US Dollars instead to pay for imported goods😢

I always tell my friends and family that in the worst climate case I'd like to enjoy Mango and Avovado trees in my German garden 😎🙏🇩🇪

Hey Sabine, aren't you ignoring a few things here? 🤔😅 (1) could live evolve around population III stars (the earliest generation, our sun in population I)? Wouldn't those systems lack enough "metals" to build planets in the first place? (2) Any significant Dyson sphere would devour so much energy and at least hundreds of planets of materials. Where and to get that from without having a working Dyson sphere to start with? (3) so I don't believe, intelligent aliens would strive for such a project. If they got powerful enough to build one they might not need it anymore

Hey Sabine, would you mind to do another video about recent alternative theories and calculations to explain galactic rotation speed curves without Dark Matter, especially the ones respecting relativistic effects in the Friedman equation but also on Newtonian laws, or most interesting to me, Retardation effects supported by Asher Yahalom. He even includes galaxy clusters and gravity lensing effects as far as I know 😎👍
7
not just you, Sabine!😂 I totally agree with you. scientific journalism must take more care and responsibility to properly explain science, facts and connections in between them in a mor comprehensive and correct way
6
Hey Sabine, what can't I watch your channel member videos with screen off, as all other videos? 🤔
5
@shangrilaladeda you surely know this ist monsense on our relevant time scale, right? 😉
4
Thank you, Sabine, for your unexpected critique on so-called "free markets" and the currently too wide-spread neoliberal dogmas 😉
4
Helping PLANET WILD already since recently 🙋♂️
4
Hey Sabine, please also address your German viewers as well 😊
3
@NauerBauer ofc! Who says something else?? However, if not enough people fight against climate change we will have to only witness what follows
3
Another nice dress 😎
3
Yes, please more details of the causes behind the the crisis🙏

Hey Sabine, why is it so hard to prevent singularity in a real black hole if one simply asumes aa black hole has a certain average density higher than a neutron star, but limited, giving it some "solid" body smaller than the event horizon??? No unlimited density in the center, no singularity...
3
@Thomas-gk42 unexpected only in terms of such topics not being her usual ones 😉🙏
3
8:00 is it really correct to assume dU decreases (less internal energy left) when the volume increases, since usually p would immediately decrease in compensation - however the shown formula suggests for p to be constant, only then it would work.
3
Please Sabine, would you also make a video to the other modified gravity theories (if this is right), explaining the observation with Retardation or relativistic effects of the transportation of gravity effects (Authors like A. Yahalom). I don't understand the mathematics well enough myself to judge their value 🤔
3
@Somebodyherefornow that is not quite true. First we never observed Dark Matter. It only seems the best explanation for what we observe. And second, everything that we observe which seems to follow some rules and laws, ideally being scientific should and can be described by a theory, which over time might get refined or even replaced by a more comprising theory. Would you agree on that?
3
When talking about very old galaxies, I always wonder why first galaxies should have been tiny? I like the idea of MOND. However, wouldn't it be possible that just very large clusters of gas in the early, denser universe condensed to large galaxies both much bigger diameter than finally seen by glowing stars. This would also explain in part the high angular speeds, I guess,if just a big enough cloud rotated altogether
2
@eljcd is this fact relatively certain in science? I would have expected similar effects for really big galactic clouds as it happens for Single solar systems. Stars seemed to have formed without clumps of Dark Matter. What if the Sam thing happens early on galactic levels (parallel to star formation) yielding large black wholes quickly to beginn with?
2
Klartext! Danke 😎
2
@SabineHossenfelder I was hoping for more insights 😒 so actually we don't know, why Tau and friends can decay in so many ways? Are they just higher energy level versions of their lighter partners, that we might only find in Neutron stars and black holes?🤔
2
Found your video "suitably unfunny", yet highly accurate and effective! 🙏😎🇩🇪
2
Quite off the usual topic, but well habdled nonetheless 😎
2
@SabineHossenfelder Dear Sabine, may I ask you to help the protest against Elon Musks insanity by using some slogan like "The best Elon is no Elon" or "'Felon' doesnt work without Elon" 😅
2
Just preordered your book! 😎 Greetings from Germany🇩🇪

Already in with Planet Wild! 😎🙏🇩🇪

I think that is not quite right. My intuition mixed with my logical experience, tells me that non-black non-ravens are just not relevant to the topic of black ravens, there is no connection, it is merely part of the rest of the world. Thus the rest of the world cannot be used in favor or even as evidence for a hypothesis that all ravens are black. This doesn't work, it only tells you that whatever non-black you find cannot be a raven, but it also dismisses the black things that are non-ravens either.
2
@Bialy_1 I did not say that at all, just mean a pure astrophysical aspect. And yes, information is a very relevant, even central part 👍🏻
2
@vast634 but this would then be population II stars anyways. But yeah, some many might have formed early, along with population III stars
2
Does anything in our theories would then prevent the idea, that the universe might have been started by such a large scale production of mass out of nothing, one half traveling with positive energy max. speed of light forward in time, the other half with negative energy backward in time? So both bodies of masses were rather separated in time than in space? I don't really fancy such an idea, though Q from Star Trek would make it possible, but it is a picture that comes into my mind whenever someone talks about this topic 😊
2
Are we sure (with present data) about the Cosmological Constant to have been constant during the last about 14 billion years? Or do we only determine the actual value?
2
I liked it too, thank you for hinting at Morgan 🙏😊
2
Hey Sabine, finally someone tries to put one of my oldest questions onto laws😂 Shouldn't they try to find drivers and mathematical laws to explain the phenomenon of emergent properties with growing amount of simpler components to yield more complexity? May a natural LAW OF EMERGENCY? 😂
2
Would you also promote "Spektrum der Wissenschaft" to your German-speaking audience (including Swiss and Austria at leas)?
2
You still can pay reviewers a bit for their effort, which some of them hast more (Papers to review) than other, but not to much so they just do it for the money or are biased on the result. Then let the feel increase a bit further. But are you sure that Nature Science or Elsevier is not much profitable alltogether. But surfen it should remain a mostly public Service to give all the scientific results and section their platform, even if very soecific

Or you get a good consultation which type of modern heat will suit your house best. There already is much more variants than just the standard heat pump with floor heating. Sooner or later it will necessary to change the heating technique anyways (as people did from oil to gas) or to reconstruct the houses. But sure, a regular heat pump is not the best solution for every house now. The major point will be new houses, I guess

The dolphin was a great artist already 😎 if I can manage to produce such a vortex under water to impress my daughter, then it was already useful to me 😎🙏🇩🇪
2
Nice pullover!! Great video, once more 😎 didn't quite understand if you said that the statement "All math is real" is unscientific or the idea that math and numbers are real in general - in terms of "they describe what we onserve" - so in my opinion also trained by your channel, mathematics and correct logic conclusions should be real. This is often the only way to give us scientific predictions we can look out to find in nature
2
Thank you Sabine, we will adapt to any format,as long as you continue with Science News 😎🙏🇩🇪
2
I am a little puzzled why you take Schrödingers Cat as an example for macroscopic effects, since he used this thought experiment as ironic example to counteract the notion of applying quantum effects on macroscopic scale
2
ChatGPT is not capable of comparing to (latitude) numbers correctly? 🤭🤔 Not the first time I hear of an example like this
2
Hey Sabine, thank you for this insight 😉 How would you debunk the Delayed Choice Experiment? It seems to be different to the bomb experiment or the quantum eraser experiment

They are sure they oriented the detector or the wiring the right way round? Just asking 😋

@SabineHossenfelder hey Sabine, thank you for a Entropy video, although I am still mildly confused 😂 I still miss an important point that you as well only briefly mentioned, maybe the most obvious and important issue, Noone really explains when talking about Entropy: the creation of highly complex systems like planet systems and humans which clearly locally decreases Entropy at the cost of increase of Entropy of the larger system around. But why does that happen? Partly because of achieving states of lower energy. Why noone really points to this decrease of Entropy?

@SabineHossenfelder I like your videos very much, including your songs :) only recently learned about your channel and decided to support you on Patreon. I noticed you are usually very correct. However, I think that is not quite right. Where am I wrong? Grüße aus Dessau :)

@Jester01 ok, I didnt hear such a thing till now but it might be plausible. Otherwise, some nice channels like "Science Clic" showed that beyond event horizon space and time somehow reverse there axes in a space-time-diagram. So instead of falling further to the center you might just travel further into the future. Arghh.... we might never know for sure ... 😅🙈
