Amazing to hear! I wonder if I couldn't somehow provide my 5 year girl with some (self-)hypnosis techniques, if I find a proper hypnotherapist. She has some steuggels with Focus, too much energy and sitsactablitiy. Bit I don't want to put her in the classical ADHD corner, since many of us usual people have some degree of ADHD nowadays, not being a disease

@jenniglad3541Β thank you very much for your kind reply. I'm fully aware of a too loose diagnosis of ADHD and also believe my daughter only has much energy. The only things we might want to help her is focusing a bit longer and to cope best with the recent divorce of her parents. Besides this, rather healthy eating shall keep her from harm if too much high sugar food. We do look after this, if not extreme, but many kids just don't eat what might be good for then, at least yet? Still, we mainly try to handle it with no pressure in us or her that night be the nest approach for us π Greetings from π©πͺ

ββΒ @hubermanlabΒ thank you for yet another relevant topic. Would you include advise for shift workers more often, please? Those came always short in all the other interviews about fasting, sleeping etc. π’

I really love the intelect of all the Huberman interviews, but you guys in the US really take too many extra drugs and supplements, even on your own account. Here in Germany you must have to get a doctor involved for most of the effective drugs, which I think is reasonable. Can't you just stick to a healthy diet and healthy lifestyle? Better don't mess up too much with your biochemistry. We still understand to little of it

Really, 7 min into the Podcast utilize the real topic starts? π€

β@hubermanlab thank you Andrew, for such a great content!! Regarding the last bits on influence of the microbiom: I heard many times, that the gut/microbiom produces substantial if not major amounts of Dopamin and Serotonin. That's why the right food is so important. So you say it's rather an dopamine response to the food than neuromodulator production there? Thank you once again!ππ©πͺ

I heard a study founds it's not directly about being outside or moving or far-viewing. It seems all about enough of certain UV-radiation for the eyes like 10.000 lux, like a few ours on a sunny summer day in the shadow of a tree. The study was about why so many Asians need glasses

Isn't it illegal Doping when using NMN and such things to boost your Marathon performance?

β@hubermanlab I love your videos, with or without a guest π What I don't get about your explanations about the dopamine levels: how would that work for many different things we grave overlapping and alternating through the day or week? A system that works with the level of one substance and a reward-to-prediction measure. How would that keep integrating cues separated for different aims like sex, one food and another, some wine, some dream destination, job highlights etc.?

In the beginning I missed the concept of "Eustress" and "Distress" how it is strongly termed in Germany. Eustress is the good Stress from engagement, being busied with good, meaningful things that feels rather nourishing, including lots of Sports, kids time, care etc. In the weeks schedule. Also being needed.
