  1. You really believe this reasoning, that rich but commodity-poor countries are only wealthy because they have stable Institutions??? Are you kidding? I hope their work doesnt underestimate the real historic burdens What about decades of Imperialism and Colonialism exploiting poor countries of the global South till today, even if differently!? What about steering financial markets, offering expensive "development" credits and being tax havens!? What about supporting politcal instabilities in many of the now unstable nations!? Aren't non-reliable institutions not only mere symptoms? But yes, corruption also comes endogeniously. But do richer nations really want to help the lower nations? Dont think so.
