Just please understand that the UK would not have the need to borrow the money for COVID or increasing energy prices from the City of London or other private financial sources. the UK can just create the money including interest payments. Thoa expenditures don't decrease the available amount of other government spendings. However it is important to finde ways to get the extra money out of the economy again to prevent persistently high inflation rates - though the rich are already good at it
