@MentourPilot hey, why is it neccesary to enter a pressure value close to the ground at all? Don't the aircrafts meassure the pressure themselves? And how is the correct altitude derived from that value if it changes with different weather conditions?

@Zilahi-Branyi_Laszlo thank ypu very much for your kind explanation. So the reference pressure provided by the airport is actually not weather-independent but kind of tells the aircraft the relative altitude between itself and the airport and thus the relevant ground level?
