  1. I think this interviewer is quite good as he keeps Linus geeky mind in line and make his geekiness "translate" to an audience of watchers. So, this is not a problem of the interviewer himself, which like I said, I think is quite exceptional and very good, but that the interviewer is working in a certain frame where he is asked to try to pull the interviewed into certain lines. Those lines just happen to be mostly ignored by geeks because engineers aren't bubble fantasy people most of the time but actually strongly down to earth "real" people. An engineer is not a poet, or a philosopher, as much as TED would have wanted. Most revelations inventions and break-throughs came up by mistake or unintended than by being envisioned. Science is a very long path which is taken in extremely small steps. Death to the media that tries to narrow everything.
