This has nothing to do with taking on big corporations but with virtue signalling. Banks are sucking people's wallets dry, the pharmaceutical industry is financed with single payer healthcare systems aimed at trying to cure people which have been made sick by the food industry instead of on preventive healthcare, and the EU thinks this is all fine. Meanwhile they're giving away cash for free to kleptocrats in the Palestinian Authority, refuse to secure the outer borders of Europe so a massive demographic invasion (most of whom are barbarians) is ongoing, and transfer massive amounts of cash from European taxpayers to environmentalist cash grab-schemes like CO2 certificates and subsidies for rather early in its development stage technology relating to renewables rather than wait for this to grow cheaper and more effective and allow people and entrepreneurs to adopt it at their own pace, and are forcing member states to engage in similar schemes of their own. And they're doing nothing at all (or even making things worse) about the rapid population aging here. If there was anything they should occupy themselves with it's raising the fertility rate of intelligent women in Europe to above replacement level by encouraging member states to follow Hungary's example and make married mothers of 4 children tax-exempt for life. I don't care about having to pay some phone hustler a few tenners to replace the battery of my Android phone. I care about the G*d damn EU destroying European civilisation!
