  1. Nubians are black but they're not Bantu and not West African like the ancestors of the black population in the US. They speak a Nilotic language and are of mixed origin, mainly East African. Virtually the entire black population in the US originates in West Africa, much like the black population in the Caribbean, because that's where the slave trade was centred.

Ancient Egyptians (which Cleopatra wasn't) look like Coptic Egyptians today - after all, they both patrilinearily and matrilinearily descend from the indigenous population because islam bans marriage of Muslim women to non-Muslim men, and children born from mixed marriages the opposite direction are all Muslim. Most of the gene pool of the Muslim population also is Coptic in origin because the Arabs didn't subjugate all these areas in North Africa by replacing the population but by assimilating it into their religion and by intermarrying with them. Same happened in Turkey, Turks are more genetically related to Europeans, especially Greeks, than to Turkic populations in Central Asia. Anatolia was majority Christian until well into the 16th century, and this was centuries after the Ottoman conquest - remember that they controlled most of Anatolia long before the fall of Constantinople.
