Spending more on defence is one thing, propagating Medicare for all, free college (especially with all these useless leftist indoctrination courses without relevant job perspective to the field of study) or universal basic income that the Democrats want, the Republicans are still the most fiscally responsible party.

According to my NY-based accountant friend the tax benefited people who were neither peasants nor the super rich. Trump might behave like a buffoon and his actual influence on policy isn't that big but he has his administration do a very good job across the board. Too bad politics are a popularity contest rather than a talent contest.
