  1. I made it to be emperor (unmodded+realistic difficulty). In the end the trick was two-fold. First find nobles that are unhappy with their current lord (like 95% of them), recruit them to your side. Get a city. Then make that city a capital. Second part is a chore: you gather all kinds of foodstuff and wine and mead and whatever. Then you throw a giant bender of a party that lasts for a week or so. THEN when all the nobles you hired are blackout drunk, you announce a warcampaign. You go out and capture a bunch of keeps and cities until the nobles sober up and go home. You repeat this until everything is yours.

  2. So, I'm around 6'4". So what you are saying is that I could have been recruited into the army and paid good money to just being tall? And then being given a giant of a wife too? Sounds like a pretty decent deal to me.
