  1. I think the united states equivalent of this problem would be traffic jams and infrastructure problems. Unlike Hong Kong the US has huge developable areas. space is not the issue. However people stack towards business and entertaintment areas hence ridicolously expensive citycentre and similar rents. Of course americans aren't too keen on living in shoeboxes so they instead move into suburbs and then drive in to work and otherwise conduct business. Which creates the "traffic experience"
