Everything on Hungary was spot on. If suddenly the world changed into an utopistic fewer dream and I had nothing to grumble about I would be grumbling about the lack of things to complain about.

It's very easy to mess with statistics, and this fact was presented here, for instance overweight statistics, well there is a significant difference between being overweight and being mormidly obese. It's like your phone app having a 1s response time, noticeable but maybe you survive, vs having a 60 s response time. The Healthcare topic, well I don't really understand why it's such heated in the first place. I consider a society's success when it can provide functional necessities to itself, that should be one major function of any government, isn't it? Of course most of the "free" healthcare is a piece of shit, but it's something.

It's not just for not being serious. You also vote on meme parties when you want to use your right to vote, but none of the serious options are any good. "Choose the lesser evil" is really dumb in my opinion when applied to politics.

vlacko Is there any perticular reason for you to assume I'm american? I suppose they are in high number, speak in english so maybe. Either way maybe this hurt your ego, but that was not really part of what I've said. You simply imagine meaning where there isn't. What I've said is that russians, or anyone for that matter, has the ability resist or go against any flow. I did not suggest that it's a wise choice or one that has a chance for success. Why I've said it then, is to point out that anybody and everybody sets their own values. You can say "I do not stand up agaisnt the government, because the consequences are not worth the risk." You are the one who decides that your life is worth more than trying to right an injustice or otherwise inflict a change. Consequently said change not happening is, proportionally to your own power, your responsibility. Pointing fingers will not change that.

I thought depopulated means that the population density drops so much that there are huge parts of lands with basically no occupants, not that the people are completely gone.

Hello there, if you are browsing comment section for stories, well here are my 2 forints. I'm from Hungary and I was born in 1990. -I once escaped kindergarten to go to the local videogame hut and tried paying with a random pebble I had found saying they would be paid at the museum for it. My parents weren't thrilled. For elementary, well here are a few: -When we were low grade, so 1-4 (up to like 11 years old) we had a game where one kid would stand on a platform (garage/storage concrete platform) and the rest of the kids would throw pebbles/rocks at them. That was the game. No, it wasn't a punishment, kids stood on the platform at their own. -There was another game which was a combination of "it" and "hide and seek" called something like robbers and police or what else. So there was a few chasers and the rest hid, but finding it wasn't enough, the chaser would need to actually catch the others. The twist here was that the school had a lot of "stalin cubes" apartmant blocks which just switched to a password system so some kids got the passwords so the hiders would just fucking leave school, enter the buildings and hide out there. Remember, this was elementary. -This one time a kid vaulted himself across the bench (we had benches when we were little instead of chairs) and straight up headbutted that heater rack shown in this video and it fucking sliced his head open. So we saw this kid, blood dripping from his face with a stupid grin while the teacher was freaking the fuck out. -Speaking of which, this one time another 300 IQ classmate found a piece of building material and threw it straight up and watched it coming straight back down. His scalp also was in need of a few stiches afterward. -The same classmate once brought up all the sour candy from the buffet inside the school and then tried to sell it during recess with a mark-up. -Also still the same god damn classmate used to be the "shitter guardian" chasing kids with the plunger or whatnot. -To think of it this same guy was the one who was the tallest and therefore initially the only one who could reach the light switch in the toilet and I remember him turning it off on me and I'm still mildly annoyed by that. -This same kid once went out of school and brought a fucking pig leg and was going around it in school "shaking hands" with it. -This one time we were playing "rugby" and I roleplayed as a train and as trains do I couldn't just turn around either. One girl took offence to this and one guy grabbed me from behind while the girl kicked me. The next thing I remember was when I was preparing to smash her head into the asphalt for the third time. High School So I actually went into a high quality gymnasium for a "special math" class, and had years with 8 math classes a week and so. You would expect things to be nice and orderly I suppose... Yeah...all it did was that there were 2 suicides in the 4 years I was there and another unrelated death. Anyway: -The class head was one of the math teachers, he was really good, but an alcoholic and he stole all the classmoney. -I think we went through like 3 music teachers before we found one who wasn't an alcoholic and actually showed up to their own classes. -One of the teachers was casually sexist. It wasn't considered rude and I'm only using sexist as a word because I can't fidn a better one. He did tell one of the girls when she was pleading for a better grade that the only development she is capable of is regarding to her breasts. -This one time we got new desks, but they had a metal hanger on the inside which I hit my knee with and it hurt like a motherfucker so I broke mine off. Well I would need to think harder on those days because I mostly played World of WarCraft during all afternoon and night and then sleep in the first row of class, every class. But I had fun, so it was nice. Didn't die either, so progress.

It only took me 9 years to finish engineer bsc, but I was lucky as mechanical engineering at the city university had a very low bar of getting in and my high school was really strong so I've effectively slept on the entrance exams. One story is that the physics professor was a guy who straight up said that there is no physics education at the university, used those old slide projectors from the 70' or whenever they are from, during exams he would switch students around or run on the tables to catch / prevent them cheating. Students tried to distract him with magazines planted on his chair and what else and every now and then he decided to let students pass and just straight up leave the room during an exam. Also I've attended some extra class or it was the madatory practical class but only like 7 guys showed up and we had a special pre-exam where he would go and have a breakfast so we could pass. Unfortunately I do not cheat if I can help it, but I also didn't study because either one of those would have made sense, and that's the last thing I've wanted so I kept coming back for a few years until he got really tired of my presence and passed me.

Honestly it's one of the most annoying grudges people still hold. Take the fucking L already. It's not hard to see why displaying the old greater-hungary emblems annoys people whose lands you essentially claim.

@giancarloberardi8840 I'm not willing to pay? What do you mean? Either way the russians have no obligation to stand up for the ukrainians. However, they don't get to ride the moral high horse either saying "we are not to blame in this". Their culture is what producing this, isn't it? So I might have nothing agains an individual, I very much despise the group overall. And don't think I'm hypocritical on this, I'm from Hungary and I very much dislike of what our government is doing, yet it is we who voted them into office and I believe the EU/NATO should penaltize us as much as possible. Does this make sense?

But how does this work? You drive around see a giant billboard with a fake-ass woman selling fake-ass chance at winning a lot of money and think "yeah a good way to waste all the money I can't afford to waste" ? And then when they predictably lose, they think "I'll fucking do it again" How? Why?

Ok to post opinion on MyHeritage here? Okey? Okey. I actually purchased 4 kits so far and even though the results were mostly the expected boring "yes, you are a hungarian, deal with it" there were still some fun things to discover. For instance my grandmother is 12% irish/welsh/scottish. And 12 percent is pretty much a great grandparent. That is rather strange, because it would mean there was somewhere a pretty much 100% gaelic ancestor and the funny twist is that if the gene passes down though sons I should have around 3% of it. I don't. All the fun being said, one should always do their own research on the test at least a bit, for instance what it offers compared to other options, and I'm pretty sure none of it would stand in any court. Also take it into consideration that the base package is actually enough to sate most people's curiosity, the company does otherwise employ every trick in the book to prompt you to spend more money. For instance the package is literally always on sale, so don't be fooled by the "only 3 days left" kind of deal. I suggest to treat this potential purchase as "recreational activity"

@joaquinestrada-wt8ij I have no doubt, but that wasn't my point. What it boils down to, is don't let rationality imprison you, "I could rise up, but I won't because I would die for nothing" is 100% reasonable thought and a proper decision. But it is a decision nontheless.

During the summer between my 4th and 5th grade I went to a computer camp at our local university and the pc's had Doom 2 on it. The teachers set up a lanparty for us at the end of every day. It was incredibly fun. I don't know where those guys are now, but thank you.

@qZbGmYjS4QusYqv5 I don't think anybody thinks that all that medical equipment, education, doctors, service, etc etc. just pops into existence from nowhere. I put it in quotation marks, but "free" in this context means that you don't pay for the medical services you receive, but everyone pays for everyones service, well this is how it would be if thinks worked as intended of course. So even if you don't work or work a minimum wage job, but then have serious medical emergency, you don't have to suddenly magic up coins, because others automatically prop you up.
