  1. Well, to begin with an experiment, at least on this level, is completely pointless now. There are simulation softwares you can work with in tandem with normal calculations, since this is pretty much just kinetic energy calculations, yes? Dropping wolfram rods from space is a bit different than what this probably was.

  4. Thank you math guy to explain it, it makes perfect sense on the whiteboard. For me the most convenient way to look at it is assigning the points of the orbit circle to the points of a reference circle. If you assign them to the larger "path" circle it's different from assigning them to the orbit circle, because they are different circles.

  5.  @sprencesshah  Also, it's not like IT jobs are any different. Most of my work time is spent playing videogames and apparently I'm one of the top employees in my department. (Actually feels me with disappointment whenever I get praised)
