Nope. He is wrong in one crucial topic, which is that he says that the drug traffickers are responsible for destroying those families. That is objectively not true. The traffickers only enable the drug addicts to do it themselves. It's like if a gun shop was held responsible for a school shooting. This is the reason why I'm not against drugs whatsoever. "It's an incredibly addictive new drug that will most likely kill you by the third time you use it!" Well, jolly good, then I'm just not going to use it. And if you are so eager to remove yourself from the concensus be my guest. I'm sorry, I just really don't like shifting responsibility. Circumstances of life are one thing, but the result is yet the same. Speaking of which, the government's job is to protect it's society and further it's development. So when the people are too dumb to reject, what Lee Kuan apparently sees as a hostile invasion of drugs, he might feel obliged to stop it. From that perspective I agree with him completely.
