I'm under the impression that these guns were hastily strapped to the game. Like it doesn't much fit the aesthetic either and it's scaled interestingly too.

@BigHailFan I don't think what you referring to is what I've meant. I meant that the guns don't look the part and not that they aren't seem mechanically be part of the game. Obviously some other aspects are very far from anything you could consider as complete, like character creation. But a "realistic" looking oversized handcannon doesn't really mesh with the big goofy looking not-pokémon.

@ZeroXSEED Why is the "realistic" guns the selling point in a game with goofy pokémon? I'm not even entirely asking this as provocation, I'm genuinely interested why and how. I can get the appeal of a "Happy Tree Friends"-esque style of game, but this isn't the one. So what's the point of inserting an actual gun into a game where it doesn't really work as an actual gun?

@ZeroXSEED What do you mean western trend? Look, what I'm saying is that the guns look like they are generic "gun" and that's it. It's not a huge deal I suppose, but they don't seem to follow the rest of the game in style? However, they are anything, but realistic, now are they? If they were that handcannon there would break arm and shoulder when shot, and the the cute pal would pretty much explode in a shover of gore and guts. Counter example would be, let's say, Borderlands where the guns look like they are from the same universe as well. Or SYNTHETIK. Again, anime/cartoon character + cute monsters + GUN is a bit mismatched aesthetically.

@ZeroXSEED Ah I see, that makes sense. Actually I had to go and check who made this game because so many features (like the grotesque characters you can create) remind me of ARK: Survival Evolved way too much. I was guessing they stole it from a common source, but maybe it's just ARK is also known in the east so they could have taken from there directly.

@Ralathar44 None of what you listed is what made me suspicious tho. The corpse light location, the awful character creation, the leveling system with tech points and especially the terrible stats, also the pokéballs to an extent were the ones I've checked to make sure not the same dev. Also you essentially do the same in ARK as well, you have a bunch of resources you tame specific animals to produce automatically. Neither is fully automated however so that matches too. And oh boy do I know what you mean with the long and painful ARK tames, for a short while I was the resident Quetzal Tamer in my tribe and this was back when a tame took 3.5 hours.
