@OilFreeFeathers Ah, and I was just thinking about trying to play the game again. Oh well, to be honest I didn't leave ARR yet, so many things to do in the base game. Reputations to max, dungeons to run, and of course I've leveled up all hand/land jobs to local maximum (about, there is no option to turn XP off so some got to be 54 or something) I actually don't mind a story to be not based on the player if I can really invest into my character's role. I get that a lot of players like when everything is about them (and the extreme version of this is really annoying actually), but then again, the focus character needs to be good then. Also the graphical update was just a tech update / polish and honestly one of my main complaints is that my character has no butt. Turns out it was a technical cut coming from the original to ARR so the devs can push out more armours and what else. They should have fixed that. (the othe issue is that heavy armor looks like plastic toy stuff, but again I've only played ARR so maybe later expansions have it better)
