@dreaming-s9 People whining because "my death wasn't fair, plz reroll." doesn't seem like enjoying it and any place where deaths are overruled for any reason isn't hardcore. I also don't mind wether you like or dislike my opinion.

Wow, that's kinda shit to begin with as actual hardcore is hardcore, period. Just make the game hardcore viable first. Either way it doesn't fit WoW anyway, there is even resurrection magic in it, makes no sense to "die when your health reaches 0" You don't do that in D&D either and D&D is hardcore because you die when the GM said you are dead.

@dreaming-s9 Yeah, I also wonder how long I could last. But WoW really isn't meant for this type of HC gameplay. REvivify magic is mostly canon (as the plot dictates) anyway.

@dreaming-s9 Two main reasons. A - I think I meantioned that revivification magic is part of the universe. Classic druid is known for 3 abilities, nature's swiftness, innervate and rebirth. OR paladin's Divine Intervention. Or a warlock's Summon Doomguard. HC designed for WoW should take that into account, especially because B - the design/difficulty curve isn't meant for it. Meaning that early on it's relatively easy to survive, but if you die you were still low level not that much investment lost. But a high level character actually has a lot of investment, but it's super easy to die, because of raids and PvP. Raids especially because there you can easily die due to someone else's actions. And over time more and more game mechanics were introduced that pretty much has your character killed. And at that point you might lose hundreds of hours of progress more easily than when you died at lvl 5. (See, on lvl5 you could have chosen a different approach for that cave. But when Vaelastrasz puts burning adrenaline on you, or when that rogue positioned wrong when the raid pulled C'thun and everyone died? Yeah.)

@dreaming-s9 It works for that niche group but if I wanted the ultimate challange I would go and try doing the Ultimate achievement in Pillars of Eternity. But it's a hard fact that the game wasn't designed for HC And it's not about liking it, it's about balancing the experience. Sure this day and age classic raids aren't that difficult or hard, but I do remember how much struggle it was back in the day. Also if it was truly HC (so you couldn't rely on normal characters helping you) there are stuff you simply cannot get. Like the BRD key, as I've explained. But again, it's more like the toolbox you have to survive. You have more options planning the lvl 5 cave than a raid, pretty much. Usually as you level up and the challanges increase, so is your array of options which in turn means that the more skillfull survives longer. This is still true but not in sync with the challanges. (As I've explained) But whatever if you enjoy it, then it's nice.
