The Hip-Hop track under Yasuka clearly shows the racist angle of the character. It's clearly made to connect to an assumed "target audience". Or just creatively bankrupt. There is very few known facts about Yasuke and as I do not see AC as a historical tytle, just history themed, I would ge about like this, and consider that I'm not a writer nor do I get paid fat $ to write stories and this is just an ad-hoc idea: First I would give Yasuke a backstory. Let's say he was a shaman from any African religion. He gets screwed over in some conflict or the other then is given to the jesuits who take great delight in beating the "true" religion into him. Second he gets to Japan and gets recruited as a curiosity by Obunaga. Obunaga gives him a title and stipend and all that but of course the rest of the samurai think he is a joke. Third, Nobunaga uses this as a cover to make use of him in secret operations. As a giant black man in a land of tiny yellow men, you can't really sneak. But as a joke you can float around. Fourth, Yasuke would use his new position for his own ends, tied to him being a shaman. His methods would have a lot of deception and intimidation I would make him less a formidable warrior, but a scary man. I mean would you confidently try to fight someone you believed possess magic? Would use the female character as a foil, where Yasuke would be a "ruthless in a ruthless world" the girl more of an idealist and the rest is up to the player. So the music would actually be a blend of ancient native african and medieval japanese and early on the game while the player is unaware of this I would use a less obvious version.
