  1. When this xpack came out I was still so fucking mad at Shadowlands I had no intention of playing it. But ppl said the story isn't bad. Based on what I've seen, cinematics like this (cinematic is a strong word), I didn't like it, but couldn't get the full picture (which requires completing all quests and such), so I could only confidently dislike the artstyle (What is that ice/chrystal lady? So silly looking. But now the others look off too.) But this...what the fuck? And it's not like this theme is new, not even for WarCraft, hell "working together through our differences" is the go-to theme for the world, since every other thursday there is an ancient evil rising you need our powers combined. But I don't think I've ever seen it played off this bad. Not to mention that a wounded, perhaps even dying, Azeroth for whom we are getting 3 expansions to deal with the sword just straigh up gives aspect powers to characters even through at the end of Cataclysm it was a huge deal and very final-sounding event when they lost it. They literally made a grand sacrafice to save the world which is now retroactively shat on. But what the fuck can we expect, I met people who even defended shadowlands and I've also met people who got so upset at someone liking the story of that aberration, to be legit upset. This last one is me of course. IF you eat shit, you gonna get shit, I guess.
