So why is that sad? They know what they are doing, know the consequences both negative and positive, and made a decision based on that.

@Sarnatuile I don't follow, it is only fair when everyone is held up to the same standards, no? Isn't it human to raise above your emotions and impulses? Either way I find it hard to believe that someone would eat themselves into an early grave without enjoying it. Of course we all have our own crosses, I don't hate it's just it is what it is.

@castyer Well, I can barely eat enough to keep me from severely dipping into underweight category so I don't get it either. (I'm 68 kg and 193 cm) But my point is that I expect an adult human to make responsible choices. So if they have chosen this, then that's fine by me, as I'm not affected.

@TimothyGod I think you simply don't get what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you make a decision to do something that only affect yourself then it's perfectly fine, whatever the decision is. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. You can feel sad about it, but why? You can also judge as well, but again, why bother? There is nothing hypocritical about asking these questions, yes?

It IS ok. Two reasons: A - This isn't simply being fat. It's morbid obesity super extra +++ultra B - I technically don't care for these people, so it's OK for me and if they don't care for themselves it's technically OK for them as well.
