I mean she is right. Out of line, but right. Most of the time there is no criminal penalty for being unhealthy. But there are both subjective (social) and objective (health) consequences. You can't really argue with a heart attack, now can you? But I do notice a trend where "being fat" has the spotlight. Like college students think going on benders and getting shitfaced on a regular basis is cool, but that fat girl there? Now that's disgusting. I'm guessing a lot of people are afraid of being fat/unattractive so they are projecting their fears or something, who knows. But true, I don't hear about a "lung cancer acceptance movement" either. I'm sure there are all complex social mechanics behind all of these what is cool what is uncool, but I'm neither involved nor do I care enough to get to deep into these. So anyone who has an idea, feel free to reply.
