  1. What's an ALT? Sorry I work with IBM tech and there are like 20.000 3 letter abbrevations and I've given up.

  2.  @rhine3  Thank you, I see. Give me a second... well I can only see becoming an ALT as a benefit only if I use it to learn japanese. Do people take these opportunities to just try to fish for something before they return to their home? It seems like an incredibly weak job where the only benefit is you learning the language.
