@wildwilco I don't know if you can get a good adblock on your phone, but if you are using a PC, then just get uBlock Origin and be done with it. I will actually leave the internet the day adblocks no longer work.

#1 I mean...we weren't misinformed. She had hot coffee spilled on herself. Is there a standard for how hot hot coffee can be? When is a liquid so hot that it counts and a dangerous substance and therefore cannot be sold without proper safety measures? How are these standards and regulations enforced? ON the other hand, imagine a 8 day stay in the hospital costing $20k and being a 79 yr old who has to pay that. However it is also true that it's determinable wether or not coffee has any business being that hot and since MC Donalds knew their coffee is too hot I would simply say that they had a viable product but a non-viable handling method of the product, since certain products need to have certain steps observed while handling. For instance the coffee might be so hot that anybody handling it needs special equipment, and I'm certain that none of the employees had it or were trained to use them. I would fine MC Donalds retroactively for every single cup of coffee they made this way since they were made aware of the issue. #2 Again, imagine being a productive member of society and having to pay for medical expenses. #3 wow #4 Wtf. I would say imagine being a productive member of society and having to pay for medical expenses, but she is HR, so yeah. This is too much of an american problem for me to make any sense whatsoever.

Comment on the Junior Mints part. The judge is technically correct (the best kind), because as long as the actual amount is printed on the box, well it's printed on the box and doesn't matter how the packaging looks like. However, just because this is true, it doesn't mean that the company itself isn't trying to scam customers and their monkey brains. I think the most direct investigation of such claims would be to, well check for the exemptions the regulation/standard says later. If the packaging needed special adjustments for it to contain more slack-fill, then that means someone decided to spend money on making the container look bigger than necessary. Changes done to machining is expensive.

Wow, and I was considering moving to Sweden, well I didn't want a child anyway, but still extremely disagreeable.
