"So this is something they get wrong. Well it's actually true, but not the way they think it is." was like 3 points on the list.
It's very easy to mess with statistics, and this fact was presented here, for instance overweight statistics, well there is a significant difference between being overweight and being mormidly obese. It's like your phone app having a 1s response time, noticeable but maybe you survive, vs having a 60 s response time.
The Healthcare topic, well I don't really understand why it's such heated in the first place.
I consider a society's success when it can provide functional necessities to itself, that should be one major function of any government, isn't it? Of course most of the "free" healthcare is a piece of shit, but it's something.

@ModjoConCarne I have no reason to know what "London production" is, either way I doubt a "local theathre" production would make the headlines, which drives it back to the point where the cast members were deliberately chosen.
And at this point no, the burden of proof is no longer held by us. What I mean by that is that the last few years were full with this type of racism or feminism or just in general the "woke agenda"
So yes it's entirely possible that you are in fact correct and this casting was done in good faith.
But the community can no longer give any benefit of the doubt, because how often this "take white character paint it black and make her ugly too" has taken place.
Unfortunately for me, none of this changes the fact that you are right in this. A correct argument has to be made.
So if she wasn't diversity picked, it would mean that there was some other consideration, assuming she wasn't the only one trying for the role. And because the play already has a "starring" actor I would say it's safe to assume that casting wasn't from a small local group.
I cannot tell how good she is because her IMDb profile has 4 roles listed, but I also assume she plays on stage continously. Her profile does say she is more into sound/music however so maybe, assuming positively, that's a hint on how the actual play will be?
Either way if Tom Holland brings in his "star power" and acting then what does she bring? Was she picked for the role because she is talented and people want to put her into a big production or is she taken because she is just black?
Because it's sure as hell not her looks that got her the role.
Either way, be it a play or not, the case here isn't a "well who do we have who haven't played Julia yet?" but a "chose actors with deliberation" and I feel that it's reasonable to suspect racial motivation.
If it's not then it's actually a win for everyone, except racists I guess.
IF it is, then it's a big L, because then everyone will assume racism even harder.

Hello there, if you are browsing comment section for stories, well here are my 2 forints.
I'm from Hungary and I was born in 1990.
-I once escaped kindergarten to go to the local videogame hut and tried paying with a random pebble I had found saying they would be paid at the museum for it. My parents weren't thrilled.
For elementary, well here are a few:
-When we were low grade, so 1-4 (up to like 11 years old) we had a game where one kid would stand on a platform (garage/storage concrete platform) and the rest of the kids would throw pebbles/rocks at them. That was the game. No, it wasn't a punishment, kids stood on the platform at their own.
-There was another game which was a combination of "it" and "hide and seek" called something like robbers and police or what else. So there was a few chasers and the rest hid, but finding it wasn't enough, the chaser would need to actually catch the others. The twist here was that the school had a lot of "stalin cubes" apartmant blocks which just switched to a password system so some kids got the passwords so the hiders would just fucking leave school, enter the buildings and hide out there. Remember, this was elementary.
-This one time a kid vaulted himself across the bench (we had benches when we were little instead of chairs) and straight up headbutted that heater rack shown in this video and it fucking sliced his head open. So we saw this kid, blood dripping from his face with a stupid grin while the teacher was freaking the fuck out.
-Speaking of which, this one time another 300 IQ classmate found a piece of building material and threw it straight up and watched it coming straight back down. His scalp also was in need of a few stiches afterward.
-The same classmate once brought up all the sour candy from the buffet inside the school and then tried to sell it during recess with a mark-up.
-Also still the same god damn classmate used to be the "shitter guardian" chasing kids with the plunger or whatnot.
-To think of it this same guy was the one who was the tallest and therefore initially the only one who could reach the light switch in the toilet and I remember him turning it off on me and I'm still mildly annoyed by that.
-This same kid once went out of school and brought a fucking pig leg and was going around it in school "shaking hands" with it.
-This one time we were playing "rugby" and I roleplayed as a train and as trains do I couldn't just turn around either. One girl took offence to this and one guy grabbed me from behind while the girl kicked me. The next thing I remember was when I was preparing to smash her head into the asphalt for the third time.
High School
So I actually went into a high quality gymnasium for a "special math" class, and had years with 8 math classes a week and so. You would expect things to be nice and orderly I suppose...
Yeah...all it did was that there were 2 suicides in the 4 years I was there and another unrelated death.
Anyway:
-The class head was one of the math teachers, he was really good, but an alcoholic and he stole all the classmoney.
-I think we went through like 3 music teachers before we found one who wasn't an alcoholic and actually showed up to their own classes.
-One of the teachers was casually sexist. It wasn't considered rude and I'm only using sexist as a word because I can't fidn a better one. He did tell one of the girls when she was pleading for a better grade that the only development she is capable of is regarding to her breasts.
-This one time we got new desks, but they had a metal hanger on the inside which I hit my knee with and it hurt like a motherfucker so I broke mine off.
Well I would need to think harder on those days because I mostly played World of WarCraft during all afternoon and night and then sleep in the first row of class, every class. But I had fun, so it was nice. Didn't die either, so progress.

I don't really consider allied races as a main feature. I think it should have been as a secondary feature used to integrate lore factions into the game better. Yes, most of them are just reskins but that was okey, because they had been in the world, interacting with players for a long time, even Kul'tirans and the Zandalari.
But instead it's all furry gonlins and robo gnomes and fuck else.
And the dragons are just, not sure what the english term would be, but "peasant blinders" so "you like dragons, yes? D&D has so many draconid races, so here, have scalies."
And that's that. I don't like it at all, but people will get hyped because "dRaGoNS"
And the dragon mount is cool, cool, but it ain't no swift flight form.

L
I had a classmate in high school who actually gave me a compliment, even supposedly jokingly, suggested we date. Later we attended the same university and in fact she took me on dates, I'm guessing they were dates anyway. Either way there was a moment of truth when we said goodbye and I automatically went into a hug that should have ended with a kiss, I'm assuming, but I fumbled it out of hesitation, we didn't had that many interests alligned and I was friends with a girl I had sometimes hoped I could be in a relationship, or I was simply too afraid to make a decision, either way I hesitated and fumbled it.
She didn't completely cut contact with me, but the interest was gone. The other girl on the other hand was an actually diagnosed bipolar wreck, who kept being an emotional vampire/leech (and nothing more) until I finally completely cut all contact.
The real L isn't any of this however, actions and consequences. The real L is that since then first girl died of some genetic disorder which she kept in as much secret as possible and now I'm left wondering if she had a better time if I had done things differently.

Yeah, Goku is a terrible family man, but so are Vegeta, I guess it's in their nature. Altough I would argue that Goku is extremely pure. He's even more innocent than Edward Elric, so mcuh he is able to turn many villains into allies all tough the series. (Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Piccolo, Vegeta)
He's also a good homeman when he's home, thing is he's mostly not, I guess he doesn't see any reason for it. (And the end of DBZ is jsut total bullshit anyway, he could go home anytime while still training Uub)

@Razmoudah Man, you spoil it for those who might check it out now.
Anyway no time-travel plot checks out against serious scrutiny, ever.
I personally dislike time travel as an added device, like "oh no our team of superheroes died a very dramatic death, but that would mean no more toy sells, so timeeee traveeeel"
When it's used as the main focus, it can be fine.
Also since Steins;Gate starts with Kurisu having a mental breakdown over how stupid the plot is, totally in character, it let's us keep our suspension of disbelief and just accept that Okabe is somehow special (later on btw the others start remembering too)
Why I like it, is that they keep the chain of casuality intact. So while they are hopping back and forth in time, they still just go in one continous direction when casuality is concerned.
So what Okabe does in the future is actually in "the past"

@djatlasmusik A - Well you are just objectively wrong and claiming I'm wrong and you are right is rather silly in this regard because oh so often the tool, the material or the style and their inventors or discoverers get way more credit than individual artists. Examples are organic (and sometimes synthetic) paints, mines (thing of gemstones, the location and their material is often more credited than the gemcutter), block printing, etc.
And I find your stance rather arrogant, you claim you are the artist and oh without the human the art isn't being created. Well If I took your photoshop, drawing tools, paper etc away, what would you do? All you could do is sing or perhaps homecraft your own tools. Without the tools, the art pieces created today wouldn't be created, definitely not in the form that they are being done with them.
And you say photographically and perfectly combining art is what the AI does, but...no? Have you seen those fingers yet? And you say "inspiration", but then again, can you explain how it works? No? Exactly.
The fact is that AI art is ruffling feathers because it's a tool that has significantly more autonomy in it's production. But you cannot tell where the terminator is, what tool you would consider "just a tool" and what would be "cheating"?
I say that AI art is in essence no different from any other digital tool, like the hundreds you have in photoshop.

@Misskraehe Oh, let me answer then with a concept here, that wasn't brought up.
THe fetus is developing inside the womb right? But can you take out the "baby" from the mother at any time and just let it develop on it's own? Yeah, obviously not it's just going to die.
So objectively, without argument, the developing human is debendent on it's mother, up until a point after which it has a reasonable chance to survive. And to be specific I meant dependency other than basic needs, any baby dies if you just leave it out in the open.
So the fetus is upwards dependent on it's mother for survival up until a point in it's development. Until it reaches this point it's is effectively not it's own entity, but due to this dependency part of it's mother. And as long as the mother is considered a creature of free will, it should be able to decide what to do with it, including ejecting / getting rid of a symbiotic entity, which is the fetus in this case.
After the fetus passes the development stage where it can reasonably survive on it's own (assuming normal care, whatever that might entail) you can consider it it's own living being.

@sor3999 I see your point, unfortunately you've missed mine. I deliberately added explonation why I called them losers. They actively played the dating game and they lost it. The very definition of being a loser.
You've jumped to the conclusion that I'm here to throw insults.
I can totally face reality, but you would have to actually show me, no? I believe that there are women with unreasonable standards and expectations, but why do you want to date women like that? And if you don't, then what is the problem? You understand that if most women have unreasonable expectations most men can't clear then most of these women would stay single, no? But here, specifically, the topic is how MEN can't marry / find a partner and not women.
Again, the sample size is extremely small if you would have any conclusion from it then I would also suggest that it seems to me that most women interviewed here could be considered conventionally attractive while most men interviewed are not. So maybe, just maybe another factor is that these unattractive guys also have their own standards. And that is okey, but then both sides have to accept tat you either clear the bar or you learn how to live in solitude.

Well I did solve it but since I think that I may cheated/exploited the rules or lack of them I would like if one of you who watched the video could tell me if this was the solution or not before I watch it (I would try to find the actual solution if not).
So anyway here's my solution:
Step #1 Realise that ARR (the alien that answers randomly) is a problem.
Step #2 Realise that ARR (the alien that answers randomly) is a problem for TEE (the alien that always answers the truth) and EFF (the alien that always lies) as well.
Step #3 Set goals: Find ARR, tell which answer is which, ask question you know answer from the rest.
Step #4 The exploit: if I ask an alien "Alien 1, will Alien 2 tell me the truth?" Or any variation of this question, the important part is that you ask it so that it's clear that the YES answer can only be given if Alien 2 ALWAYS tells the truth, so if TEE. Then there are 2 answers you can receive. Either there IS an answer or there is NONE. Because if you ask TEE or EFF while pointing at ARR, then you asked them a question they cannot decide the answer to. There is a chance that ARR answers the truth and there is a chance he will lie. The only one who could answer this question while pointing at ARR is ARR itself (since he doesn't give a damn), but you always ask about a different alien. So by using this...
Step #5 Ask Alien 1: "Will Alien 2 tell the truth?" If you get no answer then Alien 2 = ARR. If you get an answer, let's call it Answer "A", Alien 2 is not ARR. Now you ask Alien 2 "Will Alien 3 tell the truth?" This is a different question than the first one since the subject is different. Now if you don't get an answer, Alien 3 is ARR and answer "A" means "NO" (because if you ask a liar if the honest will be honest he will say NO and if you ask the honest the same about the liar he also says "NO") IF you get an answer "B", then B = NO and Alien 1 is ARR. With this we can decide who is ARR and then eliminate him from the game.
Step #5 The only place where we couldn't decide which answer means NO (and therefore which one means YES) is when we didn't get any answers for the first question. In that case the second question is basically the same, so you ask one of the not ARRs if the other not ARR will tell the truth. (Alien 2 is ARR because we didn't get answer to first question) To this question they'll answer "D" which will mean "NO". This way we concluded which answer means what. One one step and question remain.
Steap #6 Ask one of the not ARR's if ARR is ARR. You know the answer to this question so whoever answers "NO" is the liar and whoever answers "Yes" is the honest alien. You found all 6 solutions.
I kinda feel good about finding an exploit (I don't think I broke any rules, all questinos are YES or NO and all of them are technically different), but the solution is probably not the actual solution, now is it?

Hylia Harkinian I don't know if you watched any of these, but since the video is already full'o'spoilers I'm gonna add something here:
There are 3 smart, charizmatic machinators that I know of and woudl like to present here:
Lelouch vi Britannia, Light Yagami and "Johann Liebert".
All 3 of them have really high intelligence and charizma, a combination that seems to breed the scariest motherfuckers around. However I would say that only Lelouch can be seen as an anti-hero. What Light does is something we coudl talk about, I mean he produced results that were not evil...but still. At any rate I would put those 3 in alligment as:
Lelouch is Chaotic Good. He wants good, and even tough his methods are not always clean, he still tries to adhere to a code of morality. And when he has to do something that's outside of this code, he has a blacklash from his consciousness. Like when he shoots Clovis and gets sick from the act.
However, Light Yagami is Lawfull Evil in my opinion. Yes, he wants to clean up the scum of the earth, and I'll admit I kinda liked him when I first watched this show back when. But rewatching it I realised that he pretty much kills everyone, even the innocent, just because they might threaten him or whenever a sacrafice would further his goals. He then shamelessly manipulates and lies to everyone as well. Still he is building his own world, so that's lawfull evil I think.
The Monster, or Johann Liebert is just...Chaotic Evil. He murders everyone he wants just because he wants to commit a ritual suicide or something like that. It's not entirely clear to me. He can and do just walk into a room and make people kill each other without saying a word, just because he fucking can.

Everyone can have their opinions but there are two things: opinions by themselves are like assholes. Everyone has one but no one is interested in the other's. And second, an opinion can only have value when it's actually supported by something the others can accept. And by that he is fucking wrong and so are you.
First of all he had no head start, just head knowledge which is valuabe, but that's about it.
Second, he is what? 16 years old? You know where 16 year olds go in MMO's? They go to the Swamp. The Swamp is like ELO Hell, but for MMOs.
Because even tough mechanical skill is important, it's just one part of playing an MMORPG. And because a 16 year old's brain and personality is still heavily in development their capabilities of long and short term teamwork which rivals what you are expected to do at real companies and at real jobs are...low.
And this is what fundamentally is missing from SAO. (And a bunch of other stuff)
For instance Kirito goes and defeats at least one boss almost by just himself.
That's not how raid bosses work.
Yes, there's such a thing as soloing raid bosses that are close or on your level...but it generally involves exploits.
SAO makes Kirito to be the hero and that's not what MMOs are about. They are about your team achieving a goal. If everyone else is just there as more or less fodder, then it failed in it's attempt to capture that.
Yes, there are people who rise to fame and power.
And it takes WAY more effort than Kirito ever put into anything we ever saw.
Examples:
Only One May Rise, or the Scarab Lord: One person per server gets to become Scarab Lord, get (eventually) a title and a legendary mount. Also two raid instances open and there is a 10 hour event. (during whicho thers may complete the quest for the same rewards)
However said quest (Only One May Rise) is actually a quest chain with 38 quests where you need to grind reputation and clear raids and kill bosses and all that.
Also both in-game factions need to collect a ludicrous amount of materials for the war effort.
Grand Marshall, this one only needs you to win PvP battlegrounds 6-10 hours a days, every day, for 6 months without pause. Have fun.
So...besides from the fact that the existing story of SAO could have portrayed MMORPGs a LOT better, I would say that the anime (and possible the LN) would have benefited from at least double the amount of material on the actual SAO part of SAO. Instead of focusing on Kirito's edgy adventures, which actually did introduce some characters into the roster, they coudl have spent more time on establishing a cast of various characters who would have actually taken part in their effort in a meaningful way. LAter on the series they do this somewhat better with the Norse Mythology based raid.
Oh, but enough of all the talk.
In short Kirito has and is being given a lot OP shit for not much of a reason. (He literally gets admin powers, or ignores death somehow which was completely retarded, then gets to keep all his skills and gets OP and so on)
1
-
1
-
Because I have fun arguing, duh.
But I don't know why are YOU bothering to writer replies if you have nothing to add to the argument.
I mean, shouldn't you say something in defense of SAO? Of course you are most probably wrong, but still, it's no fun if you've got nothing to add.
On that note, I admit that I liked SAO when I first watched it and I even rewatched the actual SAO part.
I never liked the Elfheim Online part that comes after because, holy shit that one is full of bullshit powers given to Kirito and ruining Asuna's character as well and also the romantic subplot is...at the very least weird.
Then I was kinda OK, with that Norse Theme raid part and I kidna liked the theme change in SAO2 (as in it changeg from adventure to a crime story)
I hated the Mother Rosario one. Even I could come up with a better premise for the same theme and I'm not even close to being an artist.
But, you have to face it. SAO is, to put it lightly, full of flaws. And I don't have tell you because there are a lot of people way more qualified to tell why and how and they already did.
So you can believe whatever the fuck you want, it doesn't mean you are right.
1
-
Okey, let's put it straight: SAO is appealing and were a success because it is a fantasy fullfilment of the target audience.
What you said just now doesn't change anything I said. If it's their life on the line, the more reason to not just go in guns/swords blazing, right?
As I said at least another 12 episodes on the SAO part, developing characters and the world and how they live in it would have been more than welcome. And there were some signs of that maybe happening, but then the show focused on the hareming up part instead of the actual "We are in a deathgame" part.
For instance you know how they have this "switch" tactic during fights, where one guy goes in to attack/parry the enemy and then the other exploits that opening?
And there are actual tanks or at least Heathcliff is one with that shield. And then there are the Kiritoes who are full DMG. I was really missing the supports, especially after they were around floor 80.
And in general a lot of pretty darn important stuff weren't explored either.
And now you may want to argue that "But Limrasson, in SAO there's no magic, you can't bring a healer/support!"
You are dead wrong and if you were to try SAO for real, you would be actually dead too.
Even if there's no magic, or ranged weapons, there would be still 3 main roles. Tank, DPS and Support. This wouldn't change. Just how the support is doing the support would.
In a proper raid setting, where you would want to not die, there would be tanks, the guys who would take the hits that cannot be avoided. Then there would be the support who could gear towards skills and abilities that either give some buffs to their party members (like shouts or warcries) OR and this is most likely possible, try and criplle the opponent. Use weapons and skills that makes the enemy slower, hit less and weaker, take more DMG and the such. AND THEN there would be a bunch of kiritoes who go on with their super heavy attack and hit the boss.
And this is just the raiding. There would bne so much more. Like guild management, crafting and trading and so on. Some of these were touched on, but as I said the show wandered off towards stuff like "Kirito adding another girl into his harem" or "Kirito being edgy" or "Kirito being THE MAN" and the such. It starts out as someone being stuck in a deathgame but then he has hacks, he gets a bot daughter-thing, he ignores fundamental rules. Like when he ignores death to stab Kayaba (makes no fucking sense) or when he pushes that raid encounter that was designed to be undefeatable with his cousin or when he gets admin powers and so on.

@kaintshine What the fuck, okey I'm not really an expert on this (I can get informed however and I do read documentation as such)
First of all, the category of absence is important. Meaning if you just simply don't show up to work, wether you told them or not, well you didn't show up to work. Then there really isn't any other consideration in that regard, the company shouldn't really care wether you stayed away to care for your wife or to watch porn all day. Unless of course, if you actually talked and came to an agreement with your manager who then approved your absence (paid or otherwise)
In which case if they still wrote you up for tardiness then yes they are assholes. Otherwise you've chosen your wife over your job/company, which is a valid choice, yet does not free you from it's consequences.
On the other hand, however, where I live you have vacation days and how and when you can use them is regulated by law. Fathers also get some time off, exactly for the reason you needed that time. Again this is regulated by law.
And here is something I can, with relatively high confidence tell you: it doesn't matter what waiver you sign. The law of your country always trumps any agreement you have with your employer, so unless the law itself stipulates the exact waiver you have to sign (with the specific conditions for it to be valid), you simply cannot sign your rights away.
Meaning that, you being fired like that could may be attacked at court. This actually makes rather difficult for employers to fire their employees, I read up on this because I was intentionally fucking with mine for not appreciating the work we do. I expected to be fired in 2 weeks, yet they employed every tactic that doesn't require money to avoid that scenario.
So I suppose for future reference either don't sign waivers OR make sure they are made legally.

@TuhljinTampergauge Sorry, haven't seen your second reply.
Right, I think I get it.
Well both sides are right, because from their perspective, morality, values, etc. they are in the right. However as you've said, their ideas contradict. It's all subjective of course, but objectivity doesn't give goals, nor values.
As they would occupy the same area, this means conflict. Imho the most likely scenario is that this conflict will keep on going until only one side is left. This is how the world works.

@leahnzastrzelecki5217 I see your point, yet, but it's a bit of an overstatement to call a chihuahua a dog and honestly only pugs are more revolting.
And at the end of the day you can either manage to be threathening or you don't.
I actually met a woman, online, who I interacted with for a time and even through I don't know how she looks like she gave out this small dog energy, impossible to really get mad at her, because indeed she is mostly harmless.
Back on topic, we are humans, our personalities are our responsibilities, but when you are tiny and your idea of "rage" is...less than satisfactory then the only one you are a threat to is yourself. I'll put you on top of a shelf if you become too annoying.
But to clear it up a bit, wrath/anger has other sides, the screaming and property destruction is one, but for instance there is the silent, put purposefully moving one, which is the "aquiring targets" phase for instance.
Also anektode, but when I was in elementary, playing outside during recess, it was "rugby" I guess (it wasn't, but we tried, okey?) and I decided that the best thing to play rugby would be a train, so I played I was a train, But you know what trains can't do? Get off the tracks, so I went one direction, turned around and another.
One girl who stayed in the back kinda took that personally (all she had to do was move to the side) and I think one guy thought I was targeting the girl. So I was held by the guy from behind and the girl in front decided to kick me.
...
The next thing I remember is me holding her head up, preparing to smash her head into the asphalt a second (or third) time.
Anyway sorry if this seems ranty.

You need a third party auditor with measured and standardized blindfold (or just turned off monitor would do I guess?), on site of course. Actual full validation is done beyond any reasonable doubt and therefore the set needs to be verified, the blindfold needs to be verified, the environment needs to be verified, etc.
Obviously nobody should care that much.
For me, the "this is fake" is more believeable, because of, just based on these snippets, her surprized, I dare to say sensationalist attitude towards it.
I mean what is she surprised about, she either knew what was happening, due to audio clues or she didn't, in which case the boss is either so easy (in the given circumstance) that literally my cat could beat it (and she doesn't have opposeable thumbs) or she've gotten incredibly lucky / doesn't actually know what she did.
Neither of which I find particularly interesting.
What would be interesting for me in a handicapped run, is the mentioned clues. But if someone is listening those, they are likely on focus mode and not ":O :O :O" mode.
Meaning that for me it's fake and even if it's not fake I do not care.

@jahile I find it disturbing if youtube censors comments like that, that is very bad.
In general? Well you can get a very long list even here. BLM, Black History Month, media in general is used to "diversify" which is mostly forced for some agenda I'm not sure I understand.
Well I understand that BLM is used to loot on the streets and steal money so the leader can have her own mansion, but I don't get the politics behind it.
And the main theme is that it tends to be just african / black.
Let's be honest if we go on a global scale and mimic population then most characters would be asian. But history channel isn't spreading that cleopatra was japanese because someone's grandma said so, right?
So specifically at this point I cannot tell for sure, because it is entirely possible that she was cast for a valid reason. But at this point I might not even bother double-checking. "Yeah, looks like it, probably is, good bye"
I could go on and on with examples of crap social fuckery that grew everywhere, but it's more than enough to watch asmon reading "news" to see how bad it is.

@AstraI1 Well, now that we are on a generic field, I can point these out and answer the questions.
It is corrupt because the idea of democracy is that the voters invest their powers into the elected to represent them at the governing body, right?
They aren't doing that, now are they?
Very rarely do you have a group of idealists, that aren't raging lunatics, take control. And even then time might paint the picture rose-tinted.
In the US lobbying would be a very good example of why the system it's fucked. But a very, very long list could be complied I'm pretty sure on stuff that is being affected or severely affected by corruption.
And corruption here of course means the misuse of said invested power.
And sure there might be "no evidence", but you don't have evidence that the sun is in the sky, now have you?
Same thing with politics, politicians and their courts. For instance it's a pretty safe bet to say that the US is essentially torn into a red vs blue/them vs us/republicans vs democrats
It's either due to malice or incompetence, both justified the noose is my book.
And no, I don't really have an aswer for it, that's the most annoying part. That doesn't mean it's all right as it is.

I'll just pick this apart, good brain activity starter, good content for real:
# "Fit women are more attractive than fat women" - no definition, no context, subjective topic. What's the point of this again? To rage bait? Or is brainrot this prevalent today?
# "My having this body shows that I can commit to something." Yes, the same way as a fat body does. Also at the end of the day it's highly likely this is just rationalizing how she likes to look at herself in the mirror. Nothing wrong with that. But what Asmon said. After all eating 100 burritos a day is more difficult than working out.
# "Can we bring in the disagreers?" <--- He should have added "But not all at once", lucky they were on the ground floor. I wonder if this is all fake, it's almost comedic how only one of the fit girls stepped foward but all the ogresses went into battle immediately.
# "Personality wise..." Oh shut it. Looks actually tend to match personality. Oh look, the of the fat girls teleported back and didn't say anything, how curious.
# Thank you, girl in red.
If you aren't some grotesque malformed abomination then you can learn to play your hand right and be attractive. This goes both ways.
Good morning.

I hated Asmongold back in the WoW days because I was playing wow, had no interest in watching someone else play wow, yet the moment I dared to watch anything wow related this fucking dude shows up on the feed, I go to the kitchen sink, want some water BRRR Asmongold flows from the fucking tap. GET OUT OF THE TAPWATER, ASMONGOLD, GIT.
But now that those days are over I like his content. And I mostly agree. Although even if this type of clickbait bullshit what works, just because being a fools' clown pays the bills, doesn't change that you are a fools' clown. Integrity rarely pays for itself, that's why we respect it.
Anyway people love to go to the extremes, DIV had it's open beta and now it seems like most of everyone is either "this is the best game ever if you disagree I'll go apeshit" vs "this is the worst game ever if you disagree I'll go apeshit"
Complete lack of critical thinking. Noticed that with the "No preorders" crew as well. At least some of them are people who jumped on the hypetrain one too many types and now look at preorders like a recovering alcoholic looks at cheap beer. They don't realize that not being able to make a reasonable decision over a purchase with uncertain outcomes is kind of a skill that's important if you ever want to purchase anything with complexity.

When this xpack came out I was still so fucking mad at Shadowlands I had no intention of playing it. But ppl said the story isn't bad. Based on what I've seen, cinematics like this (cinematic is a strong word), I didn't like it, but couldn't get the full picture (which requires completing all quests and such), so I could only confidently dislike the artstyle (What is that ice/chrystal lady? So silly looking. But now the others look off too.)
But this...what the fuck?
And it's not like this theme is new, not even for WarCraft, hell "working together through our differences" is the go-to theme for the world, since every other thursday there is an ancient evil rising you need our powers combined.
But I don't think I've ever seen it played off this bad. Not to mention that a wounded, perhaps even dying, Azeroth for whom we are getting 3 expansions to deal with the sword just straigh up gives aspect powers to characters even through at the end of Cataclysm it was a huge deal and very final-sounding event when they lost it. They literally made a grand sacrafice to save the world which is now retroactively shat on.
But what the fuck can we expect, I met people who even defended shadowlands and I've also met people who got so upset at someone liking the story of that aberration, to be legit upset. This last one is me of course. IF you eat shit, you gonna get shit, I guess.

Now for reference, imagine if the US was invaded and Trump decided to take the L and lose a few states here or there, just to "make the bullets stop flying". Now in effect it's true that if you fold immediately, then you'll have the least amout of losses, but then you'll also not have a country to begin with very soon, no?
It's also clear that the conflict is about resources and wealth.
Which Trump is playing for, obviously. And evil as that might be, that's the correct step, after all he is, supposedly, enacting the interests of the US and her people and not anybody else's.
Just as Zelenszkij is, again supposed to, his position however is rather tight, stuck between like 3 rocks and a hard place and I'm pretty sure at least one of the rocks is radio active. I think he has many reasons to be upset, but also has to realize that thematic spiels "your ocean protects you, what you think will happen in the future" or moral/emotional tracks will not work on Trump.
Well, either way, this is going to be interesting. On related note, anyone knows from how far can a human detect (without aid of equipment) a nuclear strike?

@Null_Experis Aide from the guy pulling you on, even from across the world it's obvious that the USA is suffering from some serious issues. And you are correct, the idea that those who are in power, by any source or key, use that power to give themselves more isn't anything new. And you could argue that the US is still better than let's say Russia or China, at least US tanks work and the crew only rarery (and as a mistake) drink the jet's cooling fluid.
However the issues are still there and should be a concern. Hell the US as a global power has so much influence that when some asshats there figure they have issues with a quirk of their language, I have to listen to people repeating that here, across the entire world, with a language that can't do jack with the concept.
To be very specific here, the issue is that medicine is, in the most literal way, vital to people and therefore the country / society. The goal of the system should be to have the highest quality and highest avaiability overal (the two of course are at odds). Dead men pay no taxes after all.

@johnheifner5813 I was thinking about this, but $90k still sounds incredibly expensive, any time you have something like this, an investigation should be taken, audit if you will, to see if it's reasonable. (I work capacity/performance) if it is, then all is well, we are happy (even if our wallets are empty).
Two types of problems can exist here, one is that the price is valid, but it could be improved upon (and I mean real improvement, not corner cutting) in which case we do so and we happy again.
Alternatively it could be that prices are hiked up to feed some sort of corruption. In which case we happy'nt.

@kubka4 Are you for real? Well, very simple then, point out where they said it, verbatim.
Otherwise you are just inserting your own ideas into the topic, which is foolish at best.
But anyway, you completely miss the point here.
A - There might be one point to the article, but the "2 sentences next to each other" are 2 independent statements.
B - The point here is that OP takes these statements and creates his own narrative by again, inserting his own reading of the article into it. The counter argument to mock the IGN journalist is factually wrong. A - The article never explicitly states that it considers realism and in fact uses positive examples that are also not realistic (but all of you completely ignore this). Second OP bases his mockery on the idea that body scan used = real, which is just a brainlet move.
C - All of this is for no point other than potentially not understanding why the journalist fails at journalism. The second statement, trying to say "haha, devman is pathetic horny loser" is again incorrect in every way and even if it wasn't the insult itself would look weak/lame as an insult here in this comment section, let alone in an article you get paid for to write. And yes it does call credibility into question a statement which I did not contest (and you might have imagined that I do)
So not only is "horny loser" a pathetically weak insult, it's also incorrect and very easily researched. (and in fact devman seems to be a horny winner instead)
And the fact that like 50% of the replies to my comments are brainlet insults isn't very encouraging either.

This reminds me of a joke I have to translate, just imagine these guys I guess:
Old guy wants life insurance, the clerk at the company asks him:
"Well pops, how old are you?"
"80" says the man.
"Well, having a life insurance at this advanced age is risky, but I see you are in good health, I'll meet with my managers and see what I can do, please come back next thursday."
"I can't, my father is marrying that day."
"Your father is still alive? How old is he?"
"102"
"And he wants to marry at that age?!"
"Well, he doesn't want to, but his parents are forcing him!"

@qZbGmYjS4QusYqv5 I don't think anybody thinks that all that medical equipment, education, doctors, service, etc etc. just pops into existence from nowhere.
I put it in quotation marks, but "free" in this context means that you don't pay for the medical services you receive, but everyone pays for everyones service, well this is how it would be if thinks worked as intended of course.
So even if you don't work or work a minimum wage job, but then have serious medical emergency, you don't have to suddenly magic up coins, because others automatically prop you up.

@TheGreatKatulu I agree that it looks like such bodies exist irl, but to be 100% nitpicky, you would have to show that, and by showing I meant actual measurements, to be objective.
You likely know this, but academia is funny like this.
A morepractical argument would be that why would journalist disagree with the assesment of the character modell, on one side we have "actual actress was used to produce the model" and "eyeball measurement checks out"
I haven't actually read any of the articles, but now I wonder if there is any basis of these claims (if they were made).
For instance I would make the argument that perfect "anime" body, specifically the face, doesn't really fit the post apocalyptic theme, but this is a thematic choice to begin with.
Utawarerumono is one of my favourites after all.

Just because I'm replaying the Dragon Age series (I'm playing inquisition for the first time, but I've replayed the previous titles to create saves / world states), I'll use that as an example because it's very good in this situation.
The games introduce good (Awakening) midling (return to ostogar, Legacy, etc) and crap dlcs (mage item pack 2) and most of them, like osogar, gives out loot like free candy. item packs for dragon age 2 are just simply power boosts for a single-player title. And the items inside these all look special, are statted like bis / endgame gear too or level up with you. Else they are very good on the level.
What they do like this is completely ruin the difficulty curve and reward system of the game and it's really one of the worst part of these games. EA shenanigans in this case, but I hate them.
People defend it like "oh, you can get all these ingame, they don't matter, they don't do anything!" Well, neither does gay incest.

@baxland2539
You see, difficult grinds, challanges, etc have reasons to exist aside from wasting time. Yes it IS wasting time, that's the point of games in a fashion.
But it also gives your RPG structure, allows players to have, albeit virtual, value for achievements and items.
I don't remember the high level gear I've got in BFA from M+
I remember even green items that I had luck with or I had to use them for a longer peiord or have any other history with them. (In fact I have at least one such item on my main since 2005)
Catch-up mechanics were introduced since a while and having players catch up was something guilds and players did back then. It was a good way of building some community (the fresh guild member would interact with veterans during catch-up runs)
And later on there were of course simplifications as patches went by so to have a condensed version of said content, still itneresting but not too long.
Offering a way to paid-skip it is just straight betraying that it's shit now, Blizzard doesn't care, you are right in that it's all there to gatekeep and for Blizzard to profit.
Back when level boost was introduced I was certain that at that price tag it was only there for exceptional circumstances, like an option for a rare occasion.
But now I'm pretty sure it's just another rip-off.

@lornam1142 I agree with you, and I tried to look into it a bit, and most of it is unpaid leave which is substituted by government programs, of which there are many. Again, the mother cannot be fired from their position for the entire duration and even before the birth. 24 weeks paid leave and then unpaid leave up until the child reaches age 3.
The 24 weeks and first 6 months of unpaid leave also count towards paid leave and is as if she was actually working.
So it's not like the company has to pay for 4 years to somebody who isn't working whatsoever, but the baby is still becoming the company's business as all the benefits are guaranteed by law.
So for instance let's say I employ a woman in a high importance, skilled and responsible position. Very good. Except she decides it's time to pop out a fresh human so she goes away, I pay her salary for 24 weeks or however long I have to then I have to hire someone else for that job with the caveat that her return has to be guaranteed. And then she isn't there to do this important job for 2-3 years or even more, after which she returns, but surprise, she has a child now who requires a lot of care so she is missing way more days due to it.
Obviously she would prioritize her family over my business, but that doesn't stop her family becoming a problem for it, as now she is way less reliable to perform these tasks.
I also accept that this hurdle is necessary for the continual existence of, well humanity, but again that doesn't mean it's not a problem.

@seanrowshandel1680 You aren't actually chained together, this is why this formation has multiple rows.
Again, no real expertise needed anywhere, especially for the phalanx, it's a formation a kid could come up with.
Multiple rows of pikes behind shields means anyone coming from the front is fucked. Shields and armour means that it is at least resistant to projectile attacks, again mostly from the front.
But it's slow as dirt and vulnerable to disruptions.
Again, there is no big magic here. Carrying around a giant spear in a tight formation under the mediterran sun is exhausting, especially if you get pelted by slingshots, arrows and javelins all day.
Meaning what it comes down to is how and when an engagement happens and what other forces are present on the field.
You wouldn't be part of a phalanx, you would get a shield, a sling and a bag of rocks.

But it IS a possibility. Metatron only stated that the fighters have equal skill. IN this scenario the statement that the raider could not harm the warden is incorrect. And so that's why I made the comment, pretty simple. You would had to show me, which is pretty hard, since how would you, MAybe create simulation of the axe head hitting helmet-surfaces or something, that the scenario in which the warden is hit hard enough by the raider, who mind you has a pretty large axe, realistic or not, is quasai impossible.
Mind you I'm not defending the Raider or arguing against the list. MY favourite character is actually the Nobushi and I would perhaps place her higher on the list (like how you could decently hope to skewer the raider with the naginata), but honestly, what could a tiny japanese monk/peasant who is barely protected do against the massive wall of muscle, armor and discipline that is the warden? It's not like she could hope to be more quick, since the Warden is so big one of his steps are probably tree times as large as hers. No range advantage either, the Warden has a poleaxe and is considerably taller than she is. Sure a polearm has impact force, but not nearly enough. There aren't too many gaps in the armor and those are probably protected by chainmail anyway. If I were her and runing away wasn't an option, all I could try is use my agility (which she wins out in) and try to aim at the fingers and toes. Maybe use the shaft of the weapon, use all the tricks I can to try and break a finger or toe. Just try and be in attack range as little as possible. Then go for the joints maybe.
Anyway if I could choose armament I would take a glaive class weapon (maybe a Guan-dao) as main and an axe+shield (maybe heather shield) as secondary and full lamellar as armor.
