  3. @jollyfighter In the UK M M was of a lower status than the Queen and Catherine and she could not tolerate that . She also saw that H did not have the wealth she needed to live a life of luxury and that the large market needed to make serious money was in the U S A. The only alternative available to her was to persuade H to resign from the firm and start a new life in California.

H is not yet willing to apologise and he continues to be obsessed with the unfairness of being born second which means he can't be forgiven or welcomed back by any sensible family member .One day he may recover his senses but it will take many years and I do not know if he can ever be trusted again.

As many people have pointed out over the last few years you don't give up your job but expect all the perks to continue and furthermore you actually have to earn respect rather than expect it as a right inherited from your parents or grandparents.

  45.  @margaretr5701  I think King Charles has had to cope with huge challenges in recent years including the death of his parents and the treacherous behaviour of his son and MM .He has been fortunate to have the support of his wife and other family members including his elder son and his daughter in law Catherine . It is typical that H ,who has caused his father a great deal of grief , chooses to make a pointless journey to the U K and achieves nothing.

  48. I have never come across any woman as evil as MM and I have lived a long and varied life. I can't criticise Catherine ( Princess of Wales) because she has only experienced decency and kindness until she came across Williams sister in law.
