Ancient Man I think Harry's brain is under developed and that is why he makes so many stupid mistakes.

@F_L_A_Bird At the time he met her there was no indication that he had a quarrel with his family. In the course of the engagement interview he seemed to envisage a future when they were both resident in the UK performing Royal duties. The Queen made it clear to MM that she could carry on her career and that if she did so there would be no difficulty in her opting out of the families commitments. There is a precedent for a family member to continue an acting career following a marriage .

@ponohawelu4608 What a stupid idiot H must be if , as you suggest,he was unhappy with his status for years before his fairy godmother appeared on the scene .After leaving School he actually spent years in the Army and he only took on Royal duties more recently after leaving his chosen career basically because he was too dim to pass examinations/ tests and could not be promoted. It was his choice to leave the Army and no one forced him to take on a job he did not want. I suggest he is not only stupid but bone idle in that he put no thought into his own future outside the family but instead allowed himself to be railroaded by a woman of ill repute anxious only to line her pockets.
