  25.  @sabakvetenadze6546  Some years ago the USA gave a guarantee to a Russian President that NATO would not seek the membership of former Russian satellites.The guarantee has not been observed and that is why Putin is concerned about Ukraine becoming a member. The Ukrainians suggest they are in peril from a bellicose Russia but is that a correct interpretation of what is happening? I am not in a position to know but the discussion between Biden and Putin may have clarified the situation and ,hopefully reduced tension.
