Nanny you have hit the nail on the head .Children do not need to have any lessons about gender identity and that part of any syllabus ought to be scrapped immediately before it causes further damage to the vulnerable.

@lindseyspence3140 The understanding of teenage anxiety seems to have been lost and what once could have been dealt with by a hug and a kiss seems to have become a traumatic experience involving teachers , counsellors and Doctors .What has happened to common sense ? What has happened to accepting the World as it is ?

The subject of gender is not suitable for discussion in School and teachers are not adequately trained to help young people .

There is something very wrong in our Schools when Human Biology lessons aka Sex Education are perverted and causing unhappy children to think they have an identity crisis. I am appalled at the thought that young people are undergoing totally unnecessary treatment including surgery and their parents are also going through hell. The Scottish government's ridiculous legislation will only make matters worse .
