 @richardmuskett931 If the case had not been heard in Court the protests would have continued. I am afraid some people do not accept the rules and want special treatment .

Sean you are correct it is a secular school and if the student and her family are not happy there they can arrange a transfer to another school.

@IA67676 Thank you for your contribution which is very thought provoking. Why do you think this young person and her mother pursued this issue when the answer would have been a transfer to an Islamic School ?

@EnglishTurbines I agree but dealing with complaints is irritating and tiring .People ought to be reasonable and not out to cause trouble .The Headmistress was probably stressed by the whole thing which she could do without .
