I thought the PM was responsible for Ministerial appointments .Isn't that the custom in this country ?
26
@duprazmano4289 The country has a monarchy and the monarchy has the support of a majority of the people. Does your Head of State have the same support as King Charles ?
26
Boris is no gentlemen and more of a bully.
17
@LuzGarzonmyarbonne Diana turned down the offer of security and the young man in the Mercedes with her was employed by Dodi's father.
14
Is Lo H is dysfunctional because he is so jealous of his brother and Catherine.
10
Grahame H does not care about anyone in his family including his father .Camilla has been very supportive over the years and has suffered much abuse but she is a survivor .
10
Dave she probably can't count .
8
Roger they are all second or third rate and do not understand what is needed.
8
@BrettTheNosePicker I think Boris is far better off earning a crust as an ex PM. He is not really cut out for a proper job given his distaste for hard work and consistency .
8
Rob the Consevative voter is a sheep and would vote for anyone nominated by Central Office.I am ashamed of a country which would tolerate Boris as PM.
7
The Tories have made sure that we have a very small Navy in 2024 .
5
@Ed Straker I hope Ukraine can win because Russia should never have invaded the country .
5
Lucas and if only he could persuade his wife to abandon her alternative vision .
4
I lived in Littleborough once upon a time and commuted to Manchester by train. I also visited my family in Leeds by train and car. I do not think the train service has been improved over my lifetime and it was far better once the M 62 was built to travel to Leeds by car.
4
@darthwiizius I don't think the Bradford to Leeds service has improved .The government of the day has not spoken to the experts in transport because in their planes and limos the use of a train strikes them as suitable only for the poor or eccentric. I personally dislike driving and enjoy train journeys but have 1 complaint which is seeing people put their feet on the seats; it is so disrespectful.
4
Xaiano yes people are remarkably impatient and it is very annoying .I do not remember Boris being put under any pressure for his hopeless governance.
4
Yes it all started to go wrong when David Cameron allowed Osborne to implement Austerity.
4
@gorillasinthemist2893 I do believe corruption has never been as obvious under other PM's .Boris has never been able to handle money and has a record of being in debt .Obtaining funds from rich Tory Donors is a relex action for him when he is in financial difficulty, the Downing Street flat is a classical example .
4
She barely understands anything .
3
dantyson I agree that supporting Boris was a case of the Emperors new clothes .He was never a worthy candidate for any public office .
3
The King is receiving private medical care and the U K taxpayer is not called upon to pay the fees.
3
Johnson did decide to change the guidelines in respect of the Ministerial Code . In other words the convicted felon pleaded for the law to be changed to enable him to be released.
3
@johnhooton8299 I think the announcement about increased payments to MP's was only made yesterday and does it cover a resignation like Nadine's ?
3
Mr Grieve is an honourable man and I respect his opinion.
2
Alan there is something very wrong when costs escalate so much that the project can't be afforded . I would like to understand why HS 2 costings were so ridiculous.
2
I do not agree Ra Ra.
2
@ejbh3160 I think that is a sound proposal.
2
@user-yv4nf8qp4u I think Boris is a disaster for the UK and the stats indicate he presided over a tragic loss of life. Boris is not a manager just a crooked salesman.
2
Infinite Beak I agree .This Old Estonian is completely redundant.
2
It is only a question of time before Boris is arrested .
2
Terry I don't think it was the Daily Mail which sacked him.
2
@bumble 2000 excellent questions and one does wonder why those who attended the parties ( 17 of them at Number 10 ) did not ask them.
2
Grandpa we can do without Gregg Wallace who has turned out to be an exhibitionist and a bit of an idiot .Any other so called Patriots who imitate Gregg are no longer required either.
2
Sue Gray does not work in the Palace of Westminster and she is in no position to suggest the closure of Bars .In the light of Partygate why not stop all the subsidies to MP"s and visitors. We might even save a large amount of money .
2
About time she quit .I understand she has been neglecting her duties as an MP which suggests she really ought to pay back her last 3 months salary as an MP.
2
Johnny the Russians seem to resent Ukraine for resisting the invasion .What did they expect to happen ?
2
Linda don't the majority of decent people feel the same .
2
@hgfku-tn6hb No it is not a Doctors opinion as the treatment being given does not involve a hospital stay .King Charles is receiving treatment as an out patient .
2
No .
2
Iamteo I think being treated as an out patient indicates the Cancer is at an early stage . Security issues may also play a part in having treatment at home .
2
MS I think Sue had her arm twisted and the Met Police can't be trusted to investigate Boris and his chums thoroughly .
1
@jjefferyworboys8138 the private sector would not allow Boris to be Chief Executive with his track record .He is an accident waiting to happen as most political observers are aware.
1
Sentimental clap trap. H is only interested in Bank transfers or a Certified Cheque. Charles is obviously fond of this hopeless creature but the rest of the family do not share his attachment or concern .
1
@James_Doyle83 I think it will take more effort on the part of the Harkles to restore the relationship with King Charles and no doubt Piers Morgan knows that . The King is fortunate to have support from his Wife and his elder son and he is of course receiving the best treatment in the country . Hope H is on his way back to California .
1
@babdullah5025 I do not think Charles will ever forget what Diana put him through and he certainly will not forget how Camilla has been his strength and stay for many years .
1
Not if I was the judge.
1
@mickeythompson9537 I would ask for advice from his previous wives and exlovers particularly the American lady
1
@Bert-lw1ot Barely according to my nephew who is in the Royal Navy.
1
@minihaha5367 I do not think the driver was drunk but he had been drinking .Driving through a tunnel requires skill and even a trifling impairment might cause a problem. Whatever was the cause of the crash it was tragic for the families involved.
1
@andrewbarton3040 The conduct of this government has been shambolic in so many ways that I expect the Tory Party to be wiped out at the next election. Boris will lose his seat and will be outside the Palace of Westminister with his begging bowl.
1
The closure of Police Stations and local Tax Offices are attributable to Osborne and his austerity programme .There is always a price to be paid for public expenditure cuts but the Tories never mention that.
1
Jackzzz give Keir a break he is merely pointing out that Boris has once again changed his mind .Remember we have years of debating HS 2 and until today the Boris government supported the project .What has happened to change our brilliant PM to change his mind.
1
@andrewdavy9921 Certainly not.
1
Trump ought to be silenced as it is he and his lunatic fringe who encourage violence .I would have arrested him long ago not because of his politics but because of his casual disregard for public order. Justice needs to be done because we do not need more Trump and his ilk in politics.
1
@jumpa654 and drinks the house dry .
1
@insomniacbritgaming1632 The North produces goods for the South and both need the other .We are better together and that applies to Europe as well.
1
news channel I think the Tories know they have run out of energy and ideas .
1
@Stantheman848 Simplistic but nevertheless true .Look at the human misery which has resulted from Putin's arrogant decision.
1
@Stantheman848 I agree the decision to undertake Gulf War 2 was horrific and we are still living with the consequences .
1
Comedy Rift I do not think.Mr Modi is taking an intelligent approach .
1
@MJsharma007 The risk of making China more powerful has to be taken as the current threat is so dangerous .
1
Boris is playing games .He knows he broke Covid rules and that he did not acknowledge his guilt in the House of Commons but he is too cowardly to admit this in public.
1
Agreed.
1
Ben the World laughed at Trump but were wary of his power. The World laughs at Boris without restraint because he is power less .
1
Tory bullshit does not help to solve the problem of Climate Change .Surely even the rather dim Boris Johnson ought to appreciate that we need our Railways to achieve the targets we are committed too and a prolonged dispute is not in anyone's interests.
1
Alex the only question Boris asks is " What's in this for me ?". He has climbed the greasy pole and now at the top asks his wife " What do I do now ? " .
1
Electric Ink I believe Putins ambitions will not improve the lives of any Soviet Citizens .
1
@PeaceAndLove303 I agree Boris is unfit for office and ought to be voted out. They think voters will forget and forgive.
1
gavin he is a complete s*** and Public life will be better without him.
1
Actually democracy requires standards to be maintained. Every complaint or potential offence needs to be investigated thoroughly.
1
@Eleventhearlofmars It is an extremely serious matter to accuse a former Prime Minister of lying to his colleagues and the opposition in the House of Commons .The members of the Committee were extremely thorough and careful because they knew B J would greet their findings with bluff and bluster .Because of the time taken and the presentation of the evidence the majority of Conservative MP's had no real alternative but to vote to accept the findings. I do not know why B J was not asked to pay his own legal costs but I assume it is the custom of the House of Commons. All I can say is that this really upsets me as a U K taxpayer .
1
@gingernightmare9152 I am sorry but my magic wand has been sent for servicing .
1
Hourbee the French will cooperate if they think it will help them.
1
Yes the Brexit Referendum was a classic error and Cameron should have introduced safeguards to ensure that a narrow victory for Leave did not trigger a departure from the E U .
