I think there was an investigation by Muller which really needs to be revisited but the idea that there were 40 million investigations is unworthy of further comment . It is possible Putin fixed the voting machines but I am no expert and it is important to make the election system tamper proof before November.

Politicians only address problems / challenges if they perceive it will have a major effect on their voters. I appreciate this is a cynical view but take a look at the pattern over a 10 year period.
