@LightingJedi You must be meaning Andrew who only receives a Naval Pension from the UK taxpayer.
1
@gdwnet He is subsidised from his mother's private income .You can't expect a mother to abandon her son.
1
@gdwnet You are confused because the Queens private income does not come from the Civil List. The private income is subject to Tax .
1
Linda Ed is honest , decent and very well informed. I agree he would have been a better PM than Johnson or Truss .
1
@lindadoughty9252 The Conservatives ought to have the decency to apologise to the country for the chaos caused by the selection of both Johnson and Truss as PM .
1
@lindadoughty9252 I do not think this was a conspiracy but I could be wrong. Basically Truss is completely out of her depth and has packed the Cabinet with friends rather than the best people for the various jobs ; how can you take her Health Minister seriously or Braverman as Home Secretary . Have never seen such political and economic chaos in my life and the only way to sort this out is a General Election .
1
@boahnation9932 Punch and Judy politics is not helpful.
1
adi it was to a fellow MP and I assume he was a Tory.
1
@oscar38 You are a thief.
1
@oscar38 You never listen to Radio or watch television on your computer?
1
@oscar38 It does become tiresome I agree.
1
@oscar38 I wish you well too .

Garnet Anthony Blunt died some time ago .

Surely it was obvious that Boris Johnson and his crew were not telling the truth about the E U from the outset? Why did so many British people allow themselves to be conned ?
1
@tharealmb I am not a Politician but I think rejoining the E U is nothing to do with pride .The U K is split down the middle about the prospect of reversing Brexit and it would be rather stupid to take a risk for the sake of possible economic benefits in the future .The U K government has no choice but to try to take advantage of Brexit and to work hard to make it a success . In 50 + years it may be appropriate to take a look again but I am not certain that would be recommended either.
1
Michael are you always so cynical ?
1
@michaelrch I think you are very pessimistic and cynical but do not give up hope just yet . I note you do not mention the war in Ukraine and if that was ended in defeat for Putin we might have a chance to rebuild the World economy .
1
@michaelrch I have read what you say with interest and while I do hope that Russia is defeated I acknowledge that the point you make about a new strategy is evident . This morning we learn of the possible destruction of a dam which would cause flooding and the death of thousands of people. I agree that the prospects for peace are reduced while Russia continues to exist and the future of humanity looks ever more precarious .
1
@michaelrch If what you say is 100 % correct why has the President of Ukraine failed to draw attention to NATO 's policy which sentences his people to death and destruction. I gather the Republican Party is unwilling to give Biden carte blanc with regard to support for Ukraine and perhaps you could explain why that is so . I appreciate the risk of Nuclear War and hope Putin does not unleash that on the World .Unfortunately he is intent on pursuing his reinvention of the U SS R regardless of the cost to the Russian people and the economy of his country.
1
@michaelrch That is evil because people are dying .
1
@michaelrch I think the United Nations ought to send in an expeditionary force to examine the dam said to have been mined by the Russians. The U N should also use diplomatic means to bring the parties to a meeting where all issues are established and discussed. Meanwhile the Russian Army should withdraw to the January 2022 border as a sign of intent .
1
@michaelrch Pressure needs to be exerted by China for example as the World is heading for economic and climate catastrophe .I do not believe in giving up particularly when millions of lives are at stake .
1
@michaelrch Am delighted you are not giving way to despair .Good luck in your efforts .
1
Billy you do not have the faintest idea .Boris and his crew of idiots are completely incompetent.
1
Cruddy Circle if she messes things up she is incompetent and unworthy of office .She needs to draft another resignation letter .
1
What would you charge Prince Andrew with and where is your evidence ? The sole piece of evidence is a photograph apparently taken in London where the age of consent was 16 .
1
By the way Guiseppe the original photograph has been lost ; Andrew has always suggested it was not genuine .
1
@billyf5591 I did not interpret the interview in the same way as you did. In my humble opinion Virginia found herself a nice little earner.
1
@ozzie2612 Labour are making a start to reduce the risk to children from child abusers. It would help,of course, if parents actually took their responsibilities seriously .
1
@JOsc4-v It did not take a genius to know that the Financial crisis would lead to a recession. Unfortunately Osborne was not aware that the worst thing to do in a recession was to have an Austerity policy and that is why the U K has had such difficulty growing the economy. I think it is now accepted that Austerity went on for far too long but people do so it was Osborne 's favourite word .
1
My Point of View the Royal family are a pleasant distraction and you really ought to think seriously how we are going to stop this dreadful war in Uktaine ,reduce energy costs ,reign in inflation generally and reduce the damage to our economy caused by Brexit.
1
@jixuscrixus1967 I believe Prince Charles and think the person concerned was taken advantage of by one of Charles aides.
1
@jixuscrixus1967 Well at least we have some agreement.
1
@nauxsi There is nothing mysterious about the O B R it is just a newish part of the machinery of government .
1
Smokerjim I think you are being a little hard .People often take decisions on the basis of known facts and subsequently regret them. Human beings make mistakes accidentally as the majority of people want to do a decent job.
1
Tybalt you are just a pip squeak but my regards to Romeo.
1
@Events I think your cynical and inaccurate post disqualifies you as a serious commentator .
1
@humorpalanta Don't be stupid but if you choose to comment at least get the basic facts right otherwise you might as well just shut up.
1
@Events Why would I bother ?
1
@Events Have better things to do.
1
@JavaAndroid Thank you for your message.
1
I think the Tories have run out of ideas.
1
The public believed what they were told .Unfortunately the lies were horrendous.
1
Yvette Cooper is an excellent speaker and will make an excellent Home Secretary .I do not have enough knowledge to compare her with Keir Starmer.
1
@mohamedsheik4589 She is a lovely lady.
1
@shaphocane5443 She is obviously incapable of doing the job and that is why she will not survive .
1
What utter nonsense. It was Farage who helped Boris Johnson spread the lies about Brexit in the first place.
1
@PostingCringeOnMain In my view the Tories had run out of ideas and did not have a clue how to proceed to solve the problems they had failed to deal with. I appreciate the Labour Government is not popular but that is attributable partly to the failure of the right wing Media to give the full facts to their readers, viewers or listeners .
1
@normansmith8184 That is your opinion and I do not share it .
1
@johnregan2443 I do not expect to regret getting rid of the Conservatives.
