  2. Camallunt I agree the Tories need to apologise for the terrible things they did while in power.The new leader should actually stop attacking the current Government and promise to help with encouraging economic growth by way of apologising for lies and neglect .

  3. ​ @JOsc4-v The reason for the Austerity was the economic crisis which was nothing to do with the Labour Government as it was worldwide. If only you knew what you were talking about. The result of Austerity is obvious to all and and our public realm is in a sorry state with leaking roofs in prisons , Courts etc .Utterly disgraceful.

  6. @Willywin  There was an enquiry some years ago and the Tories did not take any notice of the recommendations at all. The new Government can make a start by examining the report and by using the recommendations as a basis for a new policy for dealing with child abuse .Perhaps you are a believer in the Money Tree but these enquiries are expensive and should be treated with respect .

  8.  @ozzie2612  Labour are making a start to reduce the risk to children from child abusers. It would help,of course, if parents actually took their responsibilities seriously .

  9.  @JOsc4-v  It did not take a genius to know that the Financial crisis would lead to a recession. Unfortunately Osborne was not aware that the worst thing to do in a recession was to have an Austerity policy and that is why the U K has had such difficulty growing the economy. I think it is now accepted that Austerity went on for far too long but people do so it was Osborne 's favourite word .

  13. The 300 pounds was insufficienct and was paid to millionaires .I think the Government was very courageous in tackling the issue and trying to encourage Pensioners to claim what they are entitled to.
